NDC TARGETS NATION-WIDE REGISTRATION WITH DIGITAL MEMBERSHIP PORTAL The Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) has launched its digital membership registration portal in Abuja, marking a major step to expand registration nationwide. Unveiled by the National Leader of the party, Senator Henry Seriake Dickson and the party’s Chairman, Cleopas Moses, the platform allows Nigerians at home and abroad to easily join the party by registering online. Dickson described the initiative as part of efforts to modernise operations and build a strong, inclusive, pan-Nigerian movement, while manual registration will also be available for grassroots access. The party says the move will boost transparency, mobilisation, and nationwide growth ahead of 2027.

NDC HOLDS INAUGURAL NATIONAL EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE (NEC) MEETING, RATIFIES INTERIM LEADERSHIP, AND CHARTS STRATEGIC DIRECTION FOR THE 2027 GENERAL ELECTIONS NDC Holds Inaugural National Executive Committee (NEC) Meeting, Ratifies Interim Leadership, and Charts Strategic Direction for the 2027 General Elections The Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) has successfully concluded its inaugural National Executive Committee (NEC) meeting, marking a historic milestone in the party’s early development following its registration approximately one month ago. The well-attended meeting, which took place in Abuja, brought together the party’s national leadership, state chairmen, and critical stakeholders from all 36 states of the Federation and the Federal Capital Territory. The session provided a platform for deep deliberations on the party’s organisational structure, strategic priorities, and roadmap towards effective participation in the 2027 general elections. Addressing participants at the meeting, the National Leader of the NDC, Senator Henry Seriake Dickson, described the inaugural NEC session as a resounding success. He expressed profound satisfaction with the impressive turnout and the broad national representation, which truly reflected Nigeria’s rich ethnic, religious, and cultural diversity. Senator Dickson commended party members and supporters for their overwhelming acceptance of the NDC’s vision within such a short period of the party’s formation. He urged all party officials at national, state, and local government levels to immediately intensify grassroots mobilisation, public enlightenment, and aggressive membership registration drives in preparation for the upcoming registration deadline. In a major decision, the NEC formally ratified the appointments of the interim national leadership of the party. Sen. Moses Cleopas was ratified as the National Chairman, while Mr. Ikenna Alex-Morgan Enekweizu Esq. was ratified as the National Secretary. Other members of the National Executive Committee were equally ratified in a pro-tem capacity, pending the conduct of party congresses that will produce substantive office holders at all levels. The NEC also empowered the party’s Working Committee to urgently develop and release a comprehensive timetable for the conduct of ward, local government, state, and national congresses, as well as the National Convention at which permanent national leadership will be elected. Furthermore, the Committee was directed to commence preparations for party primaries that will produce the NDC’s candidates for the 2027 general elections. In line with the party’s commitment to inclusive governance, the NEC adopted a robust affirmative action policy aimed at significantly enhancing the participation of women, youths, and persons with disabilities in party leadership and governance structures. Senator Dickson directed all state chairmen to ensure full compliance with this policy, emphasising that the National Executive Committee will closely monitor its implementation to guarantee that the NDC walks the talk on inclusivity. The Nigeria Democratic Congress used the occasion to firmly position itself as a credible alternative political platform for Nigerians who are disillusioned with the current political order. Senator Dickson extended a warm invitation to all well-meaning Nigerians, especially those currently experiencing internal challenges within their respective political parties, to join the NDC, describing it as a dynamic vehicle for genuine national transformation and good governance. The National Leader particularly acknowledged the remarkable enthusiasm and active participation of young Nigerians in the party’s affairs. He noted with delight the visible presence and contributions of several young members at the inaugural NEC meeting, stating that the youths have already begun to take ownership of the NDC’s vision and future direction.

🇹🇭 The Progressive Alliance is deeply alarmed by what is unfolding in Thailand. 44 MPs face lifetime bans from politics for proposing legislation. Over five years, every major progressive force has been dismantled — not at the ballot box, but through legal mechanisms. We stand with the People's Party @PPLEThai. 🔗 progressive-alliance.info/2026/04/03/pro…

Happy International Women's Day 2026: GIVE TO GAIN. I call on governments at all levels (Federal, State and Local), Political Parties, the private sector and indeed all spheres where there is leadership, to give women opportunities, give women more space, give women more empowerment so that all will gain by the value women will add. Gone are the days when women were relegated to the background. We need men and women side by side in boardrooms, commissions, cabinets. Let us take decisive steps to bring women in. Give us level playing fields and watch us make great impact in all spheres of life. Give us the *Special Seats for Women* in Nigerian legislatures and gain well-rounded policies and laws that willl move Nigeria forward and make the lives of her citizens better. Go beyond policies to implementation so that our 35% Gender policy will run through all sectors and Nigeria will be better off for it. It is time to go beyond the talk; it is time to give political will and every backing needed to gain a new Nigeria. Give women the opportunities needed to maximise their potentials, and gain the Nigeria of our dreams; we will gain the Nigeria that generations to come will thrive in. Our constitution says that the primary aim of government is the security and welfare of the citizens. Welfare is zero: people live in abject poverty and having little amenities. Security is zero with hundreds being killed daily. Do we have a government? We resort to self-help??
