@beesley_cathy Obviously he shops in very different places from me. While we have shopkeepers and staff of different backgrounds, they all speak English clearly even those for whom it is a second language. Where I shop, the people who serve are polite and helpful.

I have literally never been into a shop in the UK where the workers and proprietors can’t speak English. Not vape shops, not Asian grocers, not barbers (with my partner or kids).

There is an established pattern with cars driving into crowds. This time round @Keir_Starmer and @YvetteCooperMP must not hide the truth. The British people deserve to know who did it. And instead of protecting the perpetrator, protect the people. Otherwise on your heads be it.

@chilternbear11 @carolvorders @LibDems That's not entirely true. The Tories running Surrey asked the government to cancel elections. The government agreed. People in Surrey were denied a chance to vote on the record of the current administration by both parties.

@carolvorders @LibDems 58% of today’s council elections are in Conservative held councils because the Labour Party cancelled the ones that would damage them most….and yet they still get a thrashing from the electorate who don’t like lies or unfairness.

Good meeting. We discussed a lot one on one. Hoping for results on everything we covered. Protecting lives of our people. Full and unconditional ceasefire. Reliable and lasting peace that will prevent another war from breaking out. Very symbolic meeting that has potential to become historic, if we achieve joint results. Thank you @POTUS.

@realDonaldTrump Civil servants are there to advise the administration, including the president. They are not there to kiss any part of his anatomy.

Following my Day One Executive Order, the Office of Personnel Management will be issuing new Civil Service Regulations for career government employees. Moving forward, career government employees, working on policy matters, will be classified as “Schedule Policy/Career,” and will be held to the highest standards of conduct and performance. If these government workers refuse to advance the policy interests of the President, or are engaging in corrupt behavior, they should no longer have a job. This is common sense, and will allow the federal government to finally be “run like a business.” We must root out corruption and implement accountability in our Federal Workforce!

@petemorristwit The reason Americans wash chicken in chlorinated water is because of the way the birds are raised. It is a practice that would be unacceptable in the UK where we go for more humane farming although still not great. American birds are more prone to contamination.

Is anybody 'really' bothered about chlorine washed chicken? I'm not. When we go swimming, we bathe in it, for hours at a time. No doubt we swallow some of that water too. I think it's a red herring.
