@heavens_scape @ShadowofHawk55 Zendaya is offline. She doesn’t care. She will never return to social media & she doesn’t give a damn what happens with her accounts b/c that’s how gone she is. She deactivated without technically deactivating. There’s no way she has any of these things on her phone.

The issue with this is that is hatred disguise as criticism. Instead of analyzing or dissecting creative choices in terms of writing and directing, is all about Zendaya’s casting. Golden Globe, 2x Emmy winner Zendaya.

@sirentannies Which is why Zendaya only ever lead roles are Challengers & the A24 project she is filming now, which are both at best no more than mid tier projects. The “best material” has been gate-keeped for 100 years around these parts.

@sirentannies b/c no one wants admit that Zendaya’s filmography is what it used to be b/c Hollywood is racist & Hollywood doesn’t want to give their prime roles to women who are something other then 100% white, unless it’s written into the script. Mostly, it isn’t.

@jordanjabroni b/c they didn’t want to recycle all of the stuff that had already been done in the previous 5 Sony Spider-man films. It’s the same reason why they skipped the origin story entirely. & why they didn’t use Green Goblin or Harry Osborne.

I think on the whole "Zendaya is ugly" discourse is, like, bad for our souls, so best not to do it too often. But still though it stands out to me as pretty akin to the "Trump's inaugural crowd was bigger" line in terms of what it asks of true believers.

@onikata17962861 Zendaya is not going to volunteer anything anymore just because. It’s obviously too stressful for her to do this. But she has to talk to the press at some point. It is part of the job. That’s the only real chance to pin her down on any public opinions in 2024.

@onikata17962861 required as part of job obligations & someone asks them these things they will provide an answer. They will not seek it out themselves. So if you want Tom Holland to address this issue then just get someone to ask him about it when he is giving a required interview. Not that hard

I think the disconnect is viewing Zendaya as a BW and not an ambiguous mixed woman, your expectations for a random white man simply bc his millionaire famous, since a child gf who is 1/2 blk is TOO HIGH
