You can't just change the personal allowance. You also have to change the higher rate allowance as well. They both need increasing in line with inflation.

I have always believed Las Malvinas should be given back to Argentina. I even remember getting into a physical fight when I was at primary school with another kid about this issue. I told him that Maggie Thatcher only got involved in the war to get votes and save her premiership. That was just something I heard on TV and I repeated it, but it was true. It's just a question of justice really. We do not live in colonial times anymore, it's just wrong to have a colony 8,000 miles away and stick settlers on it. And give back Gibraltar while you're at it!
