Arctic security remains a key priority for the European Union, and one in which we seek to work with allies and partners. Territorial integrity and sovereignty are fundamental principles of international law. These principles are essential not only for the European Union, but for nations around the world. We stand in full solidarity with Denmark and the people of Greenland.

At COP30, we have secured an agreement that recognises the need to keep the 1.5C limit of global average temperatures within reach, and to transition away from fossil fuels. In the fight against climate change, we stand by science, multilateralism & global cooperation. ↓

The #EUCO just held an in-depth discussion on how to make sure that Europe’s climate ambitions and the competitiveness of our economy go hand in hand. We reaffirmed our commitment to the Paris Agreement and stressed that we need to be pragmatic and flexible in our strategy. Ensuring it works for people, protects our planet and fosters our prosperity. Investing in clean tech to keep Europe ahead in the global race.

Today Regional Ministers of Environment endorsed Dubrovnik Declaration at the Second Ministerial Meeting on the #GreenAgenda for the #WesternBalkans ⏭️ organised by RCC in cooperation with the @BMZ_Bund, with the support of the @EU_Commission, and under the United Kingdom’s Chairmanship of the 2025 Berlin Process By adopting the Dubrovnik Declaration, the #WB ministers endorsed four major regional documents: 👉🏻 Revised Green Agenda Action Plan 2025-2030 👉🏻 WB6 Climate Adaptation Roadmap 👉🏻 Regional Action Plan on Plastic Pollution Prevention, including Marine Litter 👉🏻 Outline of the WB6 Biodiversity Strategic Plan These documents define measurable goals for the region confirming the region’s commitment to follow the European Green Deal. “The Dubrovnik Declaration is not just another policy paper.
