Is there a name for the time between 4am-7am where you wake up for a wee, then start thinking about how you don’t like it when Tom Hiddleston dances and then you end up worrying about the end of democracy and that no one likes you and then you doze for 30min? What’s that called?

@seatsixtyone straight question, out of curiosity only. Do other countries "always" have such over budget, over time projects? Or is it just a British phenomenon?

@jaspervankuijk @volkskrant Ja, klopt. Het was een voorbeeld bij een lagere school als ik me goed herinner. Ik vond het ook een mooi voorbeeld van hoe je als architect het vraagstuk kan aanpakken zonder meteen in de ‘u vraagt wij draaien’ modus te schieten.

@jaspervankuijk @johnbijl @theblub Sterker nog: je vraagt ongetrainde klanten het werk te doen waarvoor je voorheen medewerkers wel ging opleiden. En dan van klanten verwachten dat het allemaal goed komt.

@johnbijl @theblub Dat kun je je inderdaad afvragen, of ze daarvoor zijn opgeleid. Maar als je voor je nieuwe rol bij zelfscankassa's expertise op handhaving en de-escalatie moet hebben, dan duidt dat er toch ook op dat dat vrij explosieve contexten zijn.

It seems that the waiting room didn't work... frustrating.

Dad Airport Rules: 1. Pack the night before. Accidentally pack your toothbrush and then freak out in the morning because the 45 seconds it took to unpack may make you late 2. Show up to the airport 2.5-3 hours early. Get there before the ticketing counter staff. Assert dominance 3. Walk past all the good food spots and go directly to the gate. Make sure it hasn’t changed. 4. Look at your boarding pass no less than 12 times to ensure your boarding group and seat number haven’t changed. Memorize them, but then forget as soon as you get on the plane and check again

@Hachy_1 @Evrijders het laat mooi zien hoe ongelofelijk ondoorzichtig en duur de markt is geworden. De prijzen zijn nauwelijks gedaald, en je hebt een fullblown econometrie opleiding nodig om een betaalbare oplossing te vinden.
