What happened in Hardoi, where a principal reportedly berated a parent for buying notebooks outside the school is not an isolated temper tantrum, it’s a systemic problem, private schools must not be allowed to monetise basic stationery by forcing or shaming parents @samrat4bjp

@usewhawit That moment when I first look for AI help rather than looking into ready use playbook made by team over years 😉

Weekend on-call. Pager’s silent. I’m sweating, waiting for the inevitable Sunday night chaos. Meme (4 panels): 1) Me in Cursor/Claude: “Yo AI, why’s checkout slow?” (AI: “Pfft, child’s play.”) 2) Reality: 15 tabs of Datadog, Grafana, CloudWatch, Kibana, Jira, and a runbook from 2017. I’m copy-pasting logs like a caveman. 3) Pager explodes Sunday 11:59 PM. AI: “I can optimize your React hooks tho.” 4) With Whawit: Same question → AI actually digs into real prod logs, metrics, and past incidents, then spits out a fix like it’s been paying attention. AI thinks it’s a 10x dev… until it meets production. Stop feeding it scraps and let it feast on real data. Drop the log-pasting struggle 👇 whawit.ai/?utm_source=x_… (Reply bait) What’s the most cursed “AI helped” moment you’ve had during an incident? Let’s dial up the self-deprecation and relatable pain points. Less corporate speak, more “I’m in this hell with you” vibes.

@usewhawit For me, whole infrastructure was changed to open source alternative for more granular control on launches rather than being dependent on big CSPs for every critical SLO breach. Thinking of Org politics, this is definately tripping every organization. 😆

@duttprasan For me: thinking SRE was “DevOps but with more YAML.” 😅 The confusing bit was error budgets + SLOs—translating fuzzy user pain into measurable targets, then actually using the budget to say “no” to risky launches. What tripped you up: SLIs, burn rates, or org politics?

I suggest the term "AI-assisted Code Engineering" with ACE as the acronym instead of "vibe-coding". We must have solid engineering discipline and ACE is the maturation of the tools and techniques. It does not eliminate all software engineers but enables experienced engineers who ACE well to be much more productive. It is also going to reshape our industry but that is a separate topic.

Telling AI agent to give region specific result is the most important input for it, so that we can get valuable output from agentic AI program. While I'm thinking of different usecases it can solve, the most important thing for any of my next experiment will be declaring region.

Made my first agentic AI to give daily summary for my business usecase. Found agentic ai being helpful to gather data from different services through API, code flow as per thoughtful use case. Only thing is results are mostly USA oriented unless specified for region.

I am in Jodhpur for the Maheshwari Global Convention event and I am talking to young entrepreneurs from the community today. I studied in Chennai in a government-aided free Tamil medium school funded by the late Shri Jaigopal Garodia-ji. He was born in poverty in Sujangarh, Rajasthan and never went to school due to poverty. At age 10, he migrated to Kolkata in search of a livelihood, and eventually migrated to Chennai and found business success. He donated all his wealth to his charitable foundation that has funded education generously. A lot of schools in Chennai, particularly schools that poor and lower middle class kids attend, have been funded by him. I owe him a huge debt of gratitude. My goal today is to urge the entrepreneurs to invest in long term patient R&D projects and think of it as the continuation of the educational and social service to the nation that entrepreneurs from Rajasthan are so famous for.
