Cancer Update 21/09/25 Since the 1st of August I have gone from 11st to 8st 12Ibs which is frightening. Pain remains constant despite the morphine patches BUT I have been discharged from the pain management team at St James' because there is 'nothing more they can do'. Feeling very let down by both hospitals now as they don't seem interested in my case any more. I just wish it was all over with, I am really struggling with it all. Compounded by repeated failure to update by telephone as promised - day after day - is the stress of patients waiting for information from clinicians not recognised - prehabilitation? - surely NHS Scotland can do better than this

It’s not good when you’re prepped, gowned & hat on & the anaesthetist won’t take you to theatre. When already delayed cancer surgery is postponed because the detailed information you gave at pre-op assessment hasn’t been recorded in case notes 🤦‍♀️

@MatrixMysteries I read & see many examples of Amish animals, particularly horses, being badly treated then cast aside for slaughter when they are no longer able to pull ploughs or buggies. This callous treatment is not in keeping with religious principles & should be called out.
