Girl – “Bro, I’ll send you ₹5000 online, can you give me cash ?” Cyber Guy – “You’ll get cash but you’ll have to pay ₹100 for it” Third Person – “Why pay ₹100 ? You can withdraw cash directly from an ATM using UPI, for free” Girl – “How ?” Third Person – “Go to any ATM of your UPI-linked bank You’ll see an option – UPI QR Cash Enter the amount you want to withdraw Click on Continue A QR code will appear Scan it using your UPI app Pay the same amount After payment, click Continue on the ATM And your cash will be dispensed” Did you already know about this method ? And would you use this instead of paying extra next time ?

Disney paid $7 billion for Pixar, $4 billion for Marvel, $4 billion for Star Wars, and $71 billion for 21st Century Fox. The executive who personally closed all four of those deals just went on CNBC and said Disney's next buy should be Epic Games, the company that makes Fortnite. His name is Kevin Mayer. He ran Disney's deal-making for over a decade. The resume speaks for itself. He's not alone. Tech reporter Alex Heath said on The Town podcast that he knows "for a fact" senior people inside Disney want to buy Epic and are waiting for the right moment. Other Disney executives apparently think it's a terrible idea. Look at the timing, though. Epic just cut over 1,000 jobs on March 24. That's roughly 20% of the company, gone in a single memo. CEO Tim Sweeney told staff they're "spending significantly more than we're making" because Fortnite has been losing players since 2025. Tracking firm Circana found the average Fortnite player on PlayStation went from 21 hours a month to 16 in just one year. Disney already put $1.5 billion into Epic back in February 2024, buying roughly 7% of the company when it was valued at $22.5 billion. That valuation was already down from $31.5 billion two years earlier. I ran the numbers on a full buyout: it would cost about 13% of Disney's market value today ($167 billion). Disney paid $4 billion for Marvel in 2009. Marvel's movies alone have grossed over $30 billion worldwide since then. Disney actually tried to buy EA (Madden, FIFA) in 2023. Didn't happen. EA is now being sold to a Saudi-backed group for $55 billion. That ship sailed. Epic, with Fortnite bringing in an estimated $5 to $6 billion a year and its software (called Unreal Engine) already running 15+ Disney theme park rides and games like Kingdom Hearts 3, probably makes more sense for Disney anyway. The problem is one person. Tim Sweeney founded Epic in 1991 and still controls the majority of votes despite owning only about 41% of the company. He can block any deal he wants, and he's been pretty clear about wanting to stay independent. Tencent, the Chinese tech giant, owns another 40%, which means the U.S. government would have to review the deal due to the Chinese ownership stake. That alone could drag on for years. Disney has tried making its own games. It went badly. They built an in-house studio and made a game called Disney Infinity, which actually sold well for a while. Then the economics fell apart, and Disney shut the whole thing down in 2016. Three hundred people lost their jobs. Between 2008 and 2012, their gaming division burned through over $200 million a year. If Disney wants to get into gaming on a real scale, buying is the only option. And Epic is having its worst financial stretch in years.

Justice Senthilkumar Ramamoorthy of #MadrasHighCourt partly decrees a civil suit filed by Chennai's famous Sangeetha chain of hotels against Rasnam Foods, the owners of the other famous vegetarian chain named Geetham group of hotels. The judge directs Rasnam Foods to provide a true and proper statement of accounts of the revenue earned by operating restaurants under the trade name 'Geetham' between June 1, 2022 and November 2, 2023 (before the change of logo and colours) and pay the profits earned during such period to Sangeetha Caterers and Consultants LLP. He also directs Rasnam Foods to pay costs of ₹10 lakh to Sangeetha Caterers towards court fees and lawyers fees. @THChennai Backgrounder👇 thehindu.com/news/cities/ch…

ED Flags Indians Buying Dubai Properties with Credit Cards The Enforcement Directorate (ED) is now sending notices to many Indians who bought homes in Dubai using their credit cards. Indian rules clearly say you cannot borrow money to buy property abroad. Credit cards are basically a loan from the bank. When you swipe your card for a down payment in Dubai (or click a payment link from builders), you are borrowing. This breaks the Foreign Exchange Management Act (FEMA) rules. Property buys overseas must be done only through proper bank channels under the Liberalised Remittance Scheme (LRS). Credit cards are only for small things like shopping or travel – not for buying houses. Many people did this without knowing and now face ED questions, possible heavy fines, and legal trouble.
