@anacalling_fhf Thank you!!! I was saying that a few days ago. The burden of bad defense and having to shoulder everything every night just wears on you (look at Gibson the last 5 years). Add in the condensed schedule and THE guy for the Czech’s at the Olympics, it all took a toll on him.

Great win. Probably one of the best defensive games the Ducks have played this season. Dostal was good First shutout of the season for the Ducks #FlyTogether

@AndrewKnollNHL A win is a win…. Such a Debbie Downer. Hell they gave up 20+ shots, they took penalties, they weren’t perfect, but they won the game. What does it matter? A SO would only have been the cherry on top of a great TEAM effort!

Academic goal but man what a brutal breakup of the shutout. This happened to Dosty a couple times during the year but never this late, damn. 5.6 seconds left. No shutouts all season.

@duxpuck @TimmyKal12 Jack Eichel doesn’t have a broken ankle, Mitch Marner didn’t miss 2 months with a back injury, and Vegas isn’t a loser franchise like edmonton is. I don’t think it will be a quick series, but if the Knights get to there game and continue to defend it will be.

@TimmyKal12 I think it’s funny that that’s the narrative, Anaheim loses a game they play well in. Knights win in there worst game since bruce cassidy was behind the bench, Knights have a LOT of room to improve, Ducks not so much they were at 80% their ceiling

@duxpuck He was exactly what they needed in their bottom 6 and Verbeek has shaped that group in line with the vision he laid out before last season. It feels like he could have come at a lower cost but he has been a great addition regardless.

Tim Washe and Jeffrey Viel were kind of unsung heroes in this series. Washe was really active, so many little details. Did not look like a rookie.

Quack! Gotta admit I was way wrong. After a late-season 2-6-2 slump, the Ducks got their act together when it mattered and defeated the defending West champion Oilers. Congrats to them.
