John has been nothing but respectful and kind to me. He made me a better writer. Always looking to expand coverage, he gave me opportunities to write articles outside of injury analysis. I’m grateful for the time I worked with him. Praying for peace for him and his family.

If the injury risk is high enough where an extension of a season requires you to sit players for a week then MAYBE WE SHOULDN’T be adding games. How does this make the game a better product??

Stand by what I said. If it’s true the Chiefs are leaving Arrowhead, then we’re truly losing a gem. It’s not about the state line. It’s about losing aura, mystique, tradition. PR machine can try to spin it any way they want. They can try to replicate it. But it can’t be done.

Checking one off the football bucket list this weekend. After seeing Lambeau, I’m convinced Kansas City needs to figure out how to renovate Arrowhead. There’s only so many historic football stadiums like these.

3. I would be surprised if Mahomes is not ready Week 1 2026. Yes, things can go wrong in rehab to prolong, but it’s just the type of athlete he is. I know the medical staff will not allow him to be in harms way if he’s not ready. I just believe he will be.

A few thoughts.
1. If the initial MRI did reveal LCL tear as well, why did Reid report to the media otherwise?
2. Very encouraging there was no additional nerve, artery, or structural damage. Sounds like he is right where he should be post-operatively.
