He’s not chaotic… let’s try to understand the playbook in light of Trump’s style and… General Patton.
Patton didn’t just fight wars—he shaped perception. Loud. Aggressive. Unpredictable.
And people told him that. But he wanted the enemy to remain unsure.
Yes… on purpose.
Because confusion IS a weapon.
If the enemy thinks you’re reckless, they can’t predict you. And if they can’t predict you… they hesitate. (They feel enormous pressure, too).
And hesitation gets you beat.
Now fast forward to today…
You’re watching Trump through a polished political lens of the past.
That’s the mistake.
When he talks like this, he’s trying to make things move. And things NEEDED to get moving!
He’s not a career politician.
He’s a businessman.
Different mindset. Different tools. Different outcomes.
Now look at Iran.
For 47 years, that regime has funded terror, targeted Americans, and pushed toward nuclear capability and delivery.
Every President talks.
Few act before the cost explodes.
This is not an endless war, BUT it may be the END of a five-decade one.
Deal with the threat now…
or deal with a nuclear Iran later.
And later is always more costly.
And far more dangerous.
“Back to the stone age.”
Harsh? Yes.
Strategic? Also yes.
That’s not chaos. That’s brinkmanship.
Maximum pressure applied—to force a decision before the window closes.
Predictable leaders get managed. Unpredictable leaders change outcomes.
You don’t have to like Trump’s style, but at least seek to understand HIS lens. The goal is simple: stop the threat before it becomes unstoppable.

"A whole civilization will die tonight” are words no President of the United States had ever spoken until this morning. Donald Trump’s behavior is unhinged and making Americans less safe. After a 25-year career in the United States Navy, I have never met or served with anyone who so completely lacks the qualities of good leadership as Donald Trump does.
If the President takes the actions he has threatened to take, countless Iranian civilians will die, it will massively escalate this war, and the United States will be seen as a country without a moral or ethical compass. That will make Americans less safe right now and risk the lives of thousands of service members. The consequences will have a lasting and damaging effect on our nation.
Trump's mistakes have led us to this perilous moment, but the solution is not to escalate even further. This must stop.
