Congratulations to New Castle Community Schools and Yorktown Community Schools for receiving the 2025 STEM Integration Grant from the Indiana Department of Education! SkyBound Education is thrilled to partner with both districts to support STEM initiatives grounded in new state expectations outlined in HEA 1634, which requires all elementary schools to implement state-approved math screeners and provide targeted interventions for students. SkyBound will coordinate professional learning to help educators implement systematic screening protocols as well as evidence-based math instruction that promotes conceptual understanding, procedural fluency, and real-world problem solving. At the heart of this initiative is a Community of Practice where educators from both districts will collaborate, share resources, and analyze grant impacts on student learning. Through these joint efforts, New Castle and Yorktown are building the math skills Indiana students need to thrive in future STEM opportunities.
