Why is it so rare to hear people say they’re proud of Keir Starmer?
The UK economy is showing clear signs of stabilisation under Labour, yet praise remains quiet.
Is it classic British cynicism? Or are we simply not used to a Prime Minister who focuses on the day job instead of chasing headlines?🇬🇧

Robert Jenrick under investigation.
Nigel Farage under investigation.
Richard Tice dodging taxes.
Where are the so-called media? @BethRigby @Peston
@bbclaurak @ChrisMasonBBC
There would be breaking news reports every 15 mins had it been Zack Polanski or Keir Starmer.

Pretty clear indication of how serious this is for Farage is disappearing for 3 weeks.
The excuse will be - all the work for the local elections (his choice and neglected his Parliamentary duties to do so)
The truth is scrutiny
The truth is every time he or one of his collective gave explanations they made it worse
- from 3 separate stories on the £5million
- historical reports about his security
- stories that can be evidenced as apparently false on the £1.4million house purchase
Assume legal advice is 'hide' - well say nothing but the only way he can do that is by hiding

Big surprise. Dell has won a fat contract with the Department of Defense.
Trump has been buying Dell stock. Then going on the road promoting them and now coincidentally Dell wins this contract.
Oh did I mention they donated millions to Trump.
They are self-dealing in daylight and don't care who knows about it.
Meanwhile inflation is up. Wages aren't keeping up with the high costs.
But Biden…

Unfortunately nobody from Reform UK was available to go on Question Time today due to us all being in hiding from awkward questions, like “did you accept £1million to throw an election” or “why did you say you weren’t standing for Parliament then change your mind after being given £5 million” or “why did you try to hide a £5 million gift” or “what did the crypto billionaire get in return for his gift” or “did you use it to buy the £1.4m house you purchased for cash just afterwards” or “was it used to buy the £885,000 house that you said you bought, then said your girlfriend who couldn’t afford it bought”..?

“AND YOU STILL DARE TO OPEN YOUR MOUTH…”
Sasha Legerman: This is too accurate not to share.
This Australian’s response to Trump’s rant that “NATO does nothing for America” is absolutely devastating:
“Mate. You run a country where 600,000 homeless people will sleep on the streets tonight.
A country where 40% of adults can’t cover a $400 emergency without borrowing money.
A country where insulin costs more than a car payment, and people ration it just to stay alive.
A country where medical debt is the number one cause of bankruptcy.
A country where women die in hospital parking lots because doctors are too afraid of abortion laws to treat miscarriages.
You imprison more of your own citizens than any country on Earth.
More than China. More than Russia. More than North Korea.
In the land of the free, 2 million people sit in cages, and a quarter of them haven’t even been convicted of anything.
They’re simply too poor to afford bail.
Your life expectancy is declining. You’re the only developed nation where that’s happening.
Your infant mortality rate is worse than Cuba’s.
Your children practice active shooter drills between math and English classes while you sell defense stocks to your friends.
Your minimum wage hasn’t changed in 15 years.
Your teachers work two jobs, your veterans sleep under bridges, and you just spent a trillion dollars flattening a country that never attacked you.
And now a convicted criminal — found liable for sexual abuse, defending a pedophile, sleeping with a porn star, and running the biggest dumpster-fire campaign since the Taliban — is thanking you for yet another disaster.
And you call Greenland badly governed?
Greenland has universal healthcare. Free education. One of the lowest incarceration rates in the world.
Nobody there goes bankrupt because they got sick. Nobody dies in a waiting room because insurance refused treatment.
‘NATO wasn’t there when we needed them.’
When exactly was that, champ?
September 11?
Because NATO invoked Article 5 for the first and only time in history FOR YOU.
Soldiers from dozens of countries deployed, fought, bled, and died in Afghanistan FOR YOU.
Australia wasn’t even in NATO, and we still showed up. For twenty years.
And then you left at 2 a.m. without telling anyone and left everybody else to clean up the mess.
You don’t care that a great nation is being terrorized by your friend, and you haven’t shown it a single ounce of sympathy.
So maybe before calling other countries badly governed, take a look at your own backyard, you aluminum siding salesman with a spray tan.
The only thing badly managed in this picture is your damn mouth.
And you still dare to lecture the rest of the world?”

The number of such cases is fewer than 10 households according to DWP data because post-1988 immigration rules made it very difficult to bring additional spouses to the UK via family visas. These are legacy cases, often pension-age claimants
Most of these cases came into the UK between 1979–1997 under the Conservative governments of Thatcher & Major
Conservatives were also in government between 2010 and 2024 and didn't close this loophole
But sure, get angry about a policy you could have stopped when you were in government but chose not to
