@voskhodd @froggy_dl okay, so I really don't think you are understanding what I am trying to say. She isn't META, she isn't the go to pick right now. She can be strong, viable and not a throw pick whilst not being THE META. My point was that if she is THE META it means smth has gone wrong.

there is always opportunity cost of picking another character. the question is always "if the character I'm picking good into the particular enemy team" and right now the answer is usually yes. she is definitely in a better spot than her previous iteration which was not allowed to exist because of the degenerate crow-alch-stake-stake play patter or when he ult was strong she would snowball out of control with 2-3 random kills. she's in a really healthy spot right now where she is strong without being overpowered and unfun to play against

last time she was meta you would be double staked and dragged 10m while sitting in alc fire and being birded for half your hp until you're sniped for the other half

@voskhodd @froggy_dl Viable means that a character isn't actively losing you the game when you pick them. That doesn't mean the opportunity cost of picking another character stops existing. It's a problem when these kinds of characters are best in class because they end up being unfun.

@dwntkn @froggy_dl viable means she can be picked without negatively impacting your chances to win compared to most of the roster. plus even if a certain character is strong and meta defining you can still have a lower tier character have a very good matchup into them

@kizuriley Writing CSM and the explosive success it saw in comparison to his previous work. He created an ending that simultaneously alienated the masses of fans that CSM specifically garnered and was a commentary on him returning to “before he wrote the series” imo

I think if anything csm's ending is the opposite I dont really see it as a happy disney-like ending at all and is more melancholic than people give it credit for

I think intended release order is best because the monogatari movies were meant to come out between bake and nise but obviously took far too much time and money so its best to watch them then (this does result in the unfortunate case of watching the movies THEN nise sequentially)

@GalliaSphyras It comes off as flawed because it’s an emotional ending that probably resulted from the emotions that Fuji was experiencing from weekly serialisation and extreme popularity. It’s obv not gonna be for everyone and it’s definitely not his best work but I don’t think it’s phoned in.

@GalliaSphyras Towards the end of the series you can tell that something is shifting imo, the very end end. And Fujimoto has always poured his emotions into the series he makes in a very personal matter. I felt the nihilistic point he was making at the end. It’s imo the saddest “happy ending”
