@RestoreLichfiel @thezergslayer That's no excuse for not releasing accurate, audited figures. You know full well you cannot transfer members over automatically. So release the real numbers.

If every member of Restore got 7 other people to sign up we would have 1 million members. Family, friends, workmates, pubmates, teammates, passing acquaintances, neighbours. Get off X and speak to non members in the real world. You need 7. Go and do it.

@thezergslayer @RestoreLichfiel Opinion polls are to a degree subject to scrutiny. Lowe posts unverified numbers. Not audited. He could post a breakdown of.... 1. Numbers from the restore campaign group 2. Numbers from the political party 3. Duplicate my members And break this down by location, age etc.

@dynarfeic @RestoreLichfiel All you have to do is tell people about Restore's policies and they can't wait to join. It's no wonder their membership is rising so quickly.

@TeagueRoger @RajanBarot24 I'm perfectly relaxed. I don't live in an expensive part of the world and without the mortgage our disposable income is higher than when working.

I'd seriously look at the gold plated defined benefit schemes paid to public sector employees at a cost of £5.1Bn a year with a total liability for unfunded public sector pensions at roughly £1.3..£1.5 trillion. Remember, that's on top of getting the State Pension!
Reem Ibrahim@ReemAmirIbrahim

Government pensions are a scam. Younger workers are paying more and more to fund a system that is mathematically impossible to sustain. Would you scrap the triple lock?

The First Minister is on course to lose her seat while Reform is on course to win 30! You can’t argue with the math, the people of Wales are finished with failure. The Reform avalanche is no longer a prediction; it’s a promise.🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿🇬🇧🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿 #Senedd2026 #VoteReform

@RajanBarot24 @TeagueRoger Thanks. Been teaching for past 20 years after working in retail/manufacturing. Love my job. Much harder than people realise and pay is not good. Lost a far bit in real terms since 2010 and as stated, no comparison to earnings in private sector. I think we deserve our pensions.

@RajanBarot24 @TeagueRoger My figures are fine. I have no debt. I have savings of well over £100k and at state pension age my wife and I will have combined pensions of £57k, giving a net income of £4,200 a month. I choose to retire earlier cos I can afford to. Simple.

@dynarfeic @TeagueRoger I was working on average annuity rates but even on your figures there is a substantial difference. I appreciate where you are coming from, but worry whether you will feel the same waywhen you are confronted with the realty of life on a reduced pension. Good luck with retirement.

@RajanBarot24 @TeagueRoger Exactly. Don't think the £900k would get an indexed linked £68k at my age. Joint life is approx £3,800 per £100,000. So £32,600 Vs £23,000. But I'm still happy with that.

@dynarfeic @TeagueRoger Worth the wait, a pot of £900,000 would get you an annual pension of over £68,000 per annum at age 65, a full two years before State and public pension retirement age. Our public sector workers (like you) do amazing work for less pay and benefits, they are not the problem.

@dynarfeic @TeagueRoger The facts are there for all to see, your story confirms what I said was correct. Given the choice I doubt you would opt for a public sector job over the fabulous job you had, I certainly wouldn’t.

@RajanBarot24 @TeagueRoger part of that. Total contributions Inc employers are 38% of salary, but salary is half of previous. Total pension at retirement will be 23k plus state = 37.5k. Had I been in former job I'd have a pot of say £900k. I chose to work in public service. I'd say it's less though.

@RajanBarot24 @TeagueRoger I'll post similar to what I posted yesterday. I left a private sector job 20 years ago. My package in today's money was about £110k. Out of that I could purchase pension, more holiday, car etc. I now work in public sector. My salary is far less but I consider the pension...(1)

@flounders912 @jone45619 The triple lock is nonsense. If inflation and wages are stagnant as they were in the 2010's why should the state pension rise 2.5%?

@jone45619 Nobody is asking for state pension to be abolished. With the highest tax take since WW2 and more pensions to pay each year we are asking for triple lock to be instead linked to earnings. It's demographics and maths don't take it personal or play the guilt trip.

I am due to retire in 5 years. Have not worked in a company that until quite recently offered any type of pension. I paid NI, I understand the younger folk are fed up but we didn't all have money or knowledge about pensions. Stop blaming us for being alive
