Deeply shocked by the disturbing shooting incident at the White House Correspondents’ Association Dinner in Washington, D.C., a short while ago.
Relieved to know that President Trump, the First Lady, and other attendees are safe.

The erroneous news reports indicating that the U.S. and Iran would be restarting talks were produced because Pakistan’s ISPR sent the following incorrect update to many journalists. (They didn’t send it directly to me, but I was forwarded it.) This was the message: “Breaking ‼️ *Attributable to Government Sources* Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi is expected to arrive in Islamabad tonight with a small delegation, according to government sources. Following important discussions with the Pakistani mediation team, a second round of Islamabad peace talks between the United States and Iran is expected, government sources say. A U.S. logistics and security team is already present in Islamabad to facilitate the negotiation process.” It was never true that Aragchi had any plans to re-enter negotiations last week. Why would the Pakistanis say otherwise? Anyway, odd stuff.

The explosion in the forested hilly area of Padder tehsil in Kishtwar district, Jammu and Kashmir, on April 24 which was heard 15 km away and caused a forest fire remains a mystery.
Kishtwar DC Pankaj Kumar Sharma confirmed no wreckage or signs of a crash after teams reached the site.
The administration and security forces are investigating. No official explanation yet...

2. They don’t want to fight Iran on behalf of Saudi Arabia.

Being an Indian doesn’t mean you should underestimate or refuse to appreciate efforts being made by Pakistan or people like Asim Munir in a situation this serious.
If you’re against peace talks just because they’re happening in Islamabad or because Pakistan is involved, then honestly, you need a reality check.
Read what the world is going to face if this war continues for the next couple of months.
Even India won’t be untouched, fuel prices will shoot up, LPG shortages will hit like crazy, inflation will go out of control. People have no idea what’s coming if this doesn’t get resolved soon.
So even if you’re an Indian, and Pakistan is mediating, whether it’s due to pressure from Donald Trump or whatever the reason is, if they are trying to push things toward negotiation, you should appreciate it.
There is no reason to hate it or make fun of Pakistan here.
