My baby developed breathing problems, and by the time we reached the hospital, his oxygen levels were dangerously low. Hearing that he had pneumonia broke me in a way I can’t fully explain. In that moment, nothing else in the world mattered except his life. We are currently admitted, and these have been some of the hardest hours of my life watching him fight to breathe, feeling helpless, praying for every single breath he takes. But in the middle of all that fear, I am grateful. He is responding well to treatment, and that gives me strength. I thank God for that small but powerful mercy.
