This is why I never get caught up in a bad White scoring game. And he’s even put together a great SEASON while shooting poorly the whole way.

Despite Derrick White's poor scoring efficiency (52.4% TS), he's still a very good offensive player thanks to excellent playmaking. His 3 rim assists per 100 are in the 96th percentile + his 9.4% TOV rate is in the 89th percentile. Daring, high-value passer who avoids mistakes.

The annual honor recognizes the player deemed the best teammate based on selfless play, on- and off-court leadership as a mentor and role model to other NBA players, and commitment and dedication to team.
