Checking out the list of One Nation dodgy candidates and MPs on Google offers up all kinds of interesting information about the types of predilections that are attracted into the batcave of a notoriously batsh*t cray cray populist party. The following exemplifies the types of people that One Nation has the ability to attract. I’m not sure why but I expect that anyone with a pulse and burning desire to express their malignant opinions openly feels they might have a chance at a minimum of $200k pa for minimum effort and a guaranteed minimum of 3 or 4 years in the House or 6 to 8 years in the upper House. Nice taxpayer-trough roll if you can pull it off. -One Nation’s Farrer candidate, David Farley, has been accused of sharing derogatory posts of women online. As we know Farley has quite a derogatory opinion of women from his past commentary of Julia Gillard - and it doesn’t surprise anyone, except for Hanson who doesn’t seem to give a fck about Misogynists-R-Us inhabiting the hallways of One Nation central. -Then there was Aoi (Trent) Baxter, SA Candidate who was dumped after he was found to allegedly have a UK arrest warrant after he was charged in 2023 for touching a woman without consent. -Bruce Peece, SA candidate for Schubert, has been accused of domestic abuse, including a charge of breaching an intervention order. -Tyler Green, former SA candidate for Mawson, has made more than a dozen antisemitic, racist and homophobic posts on social media over a 6-year period, some allegedly quite unhinged. -Let’s not forget Sean black, a convicted rapist who One Nation hired in 2025 as a campaign director. This is not the first time that One Nation has employed this individual. -Gerald Nicol, candidate for Eden Monaro, was disendorsed by One Nation because of his controversial and derogatory social media posts about women. Adrian Deeth, One Nation federal candidate for Hasluck WA was convicted in 2021 of 15 breaches of a family violence restraining order brought by his ex-partner. Deeth pleaded guilty to all 15 offences. - Mark Ellis, One Nation candidate in Macalister, QLD in 2017, resigned from the party after allegations that he threatened to k*ll an employee in his security firm. It is also alleged that Ellis was photographed performing a Nazee salute before a large swastiker mown into his lawn. For those who remember the name “Mark Ellis” in QLD - there is a good reason for that. Look it up. -Brian Burston, former One Nation Senator, alleged serial predator. -Let’s not forget Mark Latham, former One Nation NSW MP, alleged abuser and defamer of Alex Greenwich MP. Say no more. Add in Barnaby Joyce and Cory Bernadi - and you have a series of One-Nation associated misogynistic patterns that keep popping up in Pauline Hanson’s slipstream and are continually enabled by her toxic populist rhetoric. I’m sure there are plenty more examples. I’m also sure that there will be much more of this enabled brotherhood of the disaffected bros in the future. How long they last with One Nation is anyone’s guess.
