Free Trade @elonmusk vs Full Tariff @realDonaldTrump and @howardlutnick is going to be fascinating to watch. They are the exact opposite sides of each other. 0 tariffs (free trade as Elon proposes ) makes it cheaper to make overseas than it was under Biden. Which is great for consumers. Full Tariffs (Apr 2nd Tariffs) or Across the Board Tariffs (10 pct in place now ) generate tax revenues paid for by exporters, importers and consumers (each product is different), and is inflationary when importers and consumers pay. my money is on @realDonaldTrump winning.

I suspect Elon's companies created most CA jobs for the decade before the gov't gleefully ran him out of town. Now TX is booming instead. Rather than brag that companies are stuck in California, Wiener should consider his Net Promoter Score. Do the largest Californian companies and employers want to stay or are they trying to leave? Well, the largest automotive, aerospace, software, networking and semiconductor companies are trying to leave: Tesla, SpaceX, Oracle, Cisco, and Intel. You might not know it, but the later three have been paying consultants large sums to figure out how to move out of CA, and concluded they are stuck. This is not something to be proud about, neither for your track record of governance nor for the future! As an investor in that future, it's disturbing to see you crow about how we are stuck with you. Imagine a foreign country doing that. What a chilling effect that would have on anyone else considering setting up a new business there! As a lifelong Democrat, and as someone who has collaborated with you on legislative efforts, it pains me to see politicians be so petty. You should embrace business employment and growth — even by companies led by people with political differences. In what world is it OK for a political leader to taunt their business leaders like this?
