I still periodically feel the craving of my flesh. I go through seasons of desiring a boyfriend. When I don’t guard my heart, I develop crushes on men.
But my identity is found in Christ.
He has forgiven me of my sin and empowers me to live my life with victory over my sexual urges. I repented and gave Him my heart, and He has blessed me incredibly.
I have a wife who patiently loves me in spite of my past failures and current struggles. I am the father of a daughter who miraculously survived her high-risk pregnancy and premature birth.
It is not a guarantee that all who deny their flesh to follow Christ will be blessed in the same way, but it is guaranteed God will bless His children.
Friend, God’s will for your life is greater than anything your flesh desires.

@starman8u Your heart enables you to bless others in a way that could never be substituted. The love you are worth may not manifest where anticipated - the good you do may not always lead to positive outcomes. That being said, as you are you're everything you need to love and be loved.

@Insight__Check @SelahSketches What exactly are you praying for? God regularly DMs me. He let me know early on in my struggle for self-acceptance that He loves me as I am, and that the things that I cannot change about myself are the very aspects shrouded in the wings of His love.

Jesus is the ultimate sacrifice that nullifies your argument. Jesus alone granted salvation to all His children, gays included. There is no need to shackle yourself to the idea that we must hope to qualify for God's love and favor. 😇

@Insight__Check @SelahSketches The word of God was never in English before man translated it. The Bible you're referencing is a translation that the Catholic church approved of, not the original, raw translation. The original English scripture was suppressed because the writers were critical of the church.

@eW01F @SelahSketches There is one truth, the narrow path. I don't speak for others and they do not speak for me. I am not condemning anyone - that is not my role. But I stand firm against accepting sin. I'm far from perfect, far, far from it. But the Bible tells is what is good and what is not.

Fun fact:
The Catholic church and then-Pope opposed the earliest English translations of the Bible because they (the church) couldn't control the narrative that English-understanding believers would ultimately follow. Having English scripture would get you burned at the stake.

@eW01F @SelahSketches The law of the Bible clearly defines sin. Grace is God's clear love. No excuses for claiming to love God and believe in Jesus' sacrifice but continuing to sin like it doesnt matter. That is dead faith. If you love God, do better, not for salvation, but because you believe in Him.

As a gay you could rewrite and publish your own version of the Bible in 2026 with revisions to approve gay sex. With enough time and books distributed it would solidify as gospel. 🤫
