Szobo has been our best player all season. Scoring goals. Assists. Working hard for the team. Important as it can get.
Yet…i have been seeing people say he isnt good enough. Sure.

Not sure why it's taken so long for us to try this but it makes a lot more sense. Salah, Ekitike and Wirtz closer together with the width coming from the fullbacks.

Szoboszlai wasn’t ‘blaming’ those supporters who left early. He said he understood the anger/frustration and admitted the players underperformed and lost control in that dreadful second half.
His point was that in difficult times sticking together is important and he’s right.

@yashtalksfooty I agree. He has been lackadaisical himself in some instances as well. Need him locked in 100% and pushing that mentality on everyone else. Has such a big effect on the team. So frustrating to watch that mentality and effort drop in so many games this season.

Do think that building a midfield around a footballer who can’t do anything in open play unless it’s essentially an end to end basketball game may have been a somewhat poor decision. Szbo probably has his place in the squad but starting every game is a huge indictment on the team
