@Creepy_Celery20 I appreciate your approach and how you stress learning to differentiate between energies. I've known a few people who have passed who could easily be labeled demonic if they were to come through.

@e_danielle20 I gotta walk the plank now. If I lose this thumb war battle, it's lights out for good, I fear.

Is Waverly on your bucket list? Or have you investigated it? Let's explore one of the most haunted locations in America.
Built in 1910 and expanded in 1926, it treated thousands of patients when tuberculosis (known as the "White Plague") was rampant in the Ohio River Valley. The facility closed in 1961 after antibiotics like streptomycin made such sanatoriums obsolete, and it briefly reopened as Woodhaven Geriatric Center until 1982 due to reports of patient neglect. Over its operational years, estimates suggest between 6,000 and 63,000 people died there from the disease or related complications, with bodies often transported via a 537-foot "body chute" tunnel to avoid spreading infection. This tragic history has fueled its reputation as one of the most haunted locations in the United States.
Specific Ghosts and Legends Several recurring spirits are tied to the site's history, blending fact with folklore. While exact death records are incomplete (a patient death index exists from 1911 but isn't exhaustive), these stories persist across sources:Nurses from Room 502: This fifth-floor room, once a nurses' recovery area, is the epicenter of activity. Legends claim two suicides: one nurse (possibly Mary Hillenburg) hanged herself in 1928 after a botched abortion due to an out-of-wedlock pregnancy; another jumped from the roof in the 1930s, overwhelmed by patient deaths. Reports include a woman with cut wrists running down corridors screaming, intense despair, and EVPs of screeching. No official records confirm the names or exact events, but the room's energy is so intense that Ghost Hunters investigated it multiple times, capturing unexplained sounds.
Timmy the Orphan Boy: A child patient in the children's pavilion whose parents had advanced TB. He reportedly fell (or was pushed) from the rooftop while playing ball. His ghost is playful—visitors leave balls for him, and they often roll back. This is one of the most corroborated reports, with dozens of accounts from tours since the 2000s.
Lois Higgs: A 27-year-old patient in 1955 who recovered enough to leave briefly, became pregnant, but had her baby taken away. She viewed the child from a balcony before dying of TB complications in 1956 at age 28. Her room sees orbs, voices, and emotional heaviness; guides share her story during tours, and visitors report feeling her grief.
Other Entities: A ghostly chef in the kitchen (with bread smells), shadow people from ritualistic break-ins during abandonment, and doppelgangers mimicking visitors. The body chute is active with "malicious" feelings, possibly from the thousands transported there.
Today, Waverly Hills is open for tours (book via their website), but it's not just thrill-seeking—proceeds fund restoration. If you're visiting, expect a mix of history and chills; many leave convinced of its hauntings.

I am super opinionated! So, I just got to dragon con. Hanging out in the hotel lounge. Talking to a driverless vehicle programer about how AI is taking over. He truly believes that it’s not possible. That we as humans control the programming. I beg to differ. He disappeared when others showed up and didn’t finish his drink. Go figure!!!! 😂
