The Anti-Homosexuality Act of 2023 targeted a small sexual minority, and many Ugandans did not care. Today, the Protection of Sovereignty Bill has been passed and will soon be signed into law by the President. This one targets every single Ugandan. It is only the beginning... Those who celebrated the Anti-Homosexuality Act because it targeted gays, the same force is now coming for all of us. We will learn the hard way.

Hold on to hope that one day you will be free to love openly without fear of persecution. Then look outward.
