Thank you for all the messages here after tonight’s @BBCNWT. I’d normally try to reply to them all, but there are so many. Thank you for your kindness. My thoughts are with all those families directly affected and the brave first responders in Southport today. So sad.

The Paterson Building at The Christie is one of the world's leading cancer research centres. 700 experts now call the building home. Ahead of the official opening on Wednesday, take a look at how we rebuilt it following a fire that destroyed the previous facility in 2017. 👇

Today is my friend, @e_therp Esther's 50th birthday. She held a party in St Anne's Square to raise funds for The Christie Hospital, Manchester. Humum said it was too hot for me to go, so I sent my balloon & donation with humum and I stayed home with hudad. Happy Birthday 🎂🥳😘

My son & I went to get döner. He ordered his meal in German, and the employee politely asked questions in German about sauces, salad vs. fries, & drinks. My son answered every question. Afterwards, the man helping us smiled SO kindly & said, in English, “You did a great job.”💗
