This is insane…
It’s what 1-person teams were actually waiting for… Not more AI tools. Something you can plug into your stack and build on top of.
Uni-1 is now an API.
This means you don’t just “use” It, you integrate it. I wanted to test something real, so I built a YouTube thumbnail system.
Not a “random generator” or “ai wrapper”, but an actual workflow. You give it:

Memory is probably the most underrated layer in intelligence.
People talk about reasoning, agents, workflows but most real-world mistakes happen much earlier. Not because we can’t think. But because we forget.
It could be as simple as a detail from last week’s call or a line buried in an old email. Something a customer mentioned once that never came up again. A lot of work is just trying to reconstruct context.
That’s also where most AI still feels incomplete. LLMs are great at generating answers. But memory today is mostly search. RAG, vectors, chat history, long context windows. All of it still depends on you knowing what to ask.
Human memory doesn’t work like that.
The useful stuff often shows up before the question fully forms. A face reminds you of a conversation. A phrase triggers a forgotten idea. A moment pulls up another moment.
That proactive recall layer is what’s been missing.
I could be wrong but Engramme is probably the only company working on persistent memory with a fundamentally different approach.
If they get this right, AI will stop being a tool you query. It starts becoming something closer to cognitive infrastructure. Not like a typical “help me write this” but more like “help me not lose the thread of my own life and work.”
Memory is the next real frontier.
