Losing Waddle doesn’t kill this for Malik Willis. If anything, it strengthens his case for having longevity with the franchise. Miami’s stacked with picks, still has De’Von Achane, has added Jeff Hafley, and now offers Willis a real chance to shape the offence throughout the course of the rebuild.

Malik Willis could’ve taken a little less money and worked with Mike LaFleur, Trey McBride, Marvin Harrison Jr, Michael Wilson, Kendrick Bourne and a completely revamped offensive line. But he chose a couple extra million a year in the short term. Terrible business decision.

The 49ers and TE Jake Tonges agreed to a new deal just before the restricted free agent tender deadline. It’s a two-year contract for $8 million, including $5.5M guaranteed, per agent Steve Caric.

Source: Falcons officially have released QB Kirk Cousins after two seasons, and he will become a free agent today. Cousins already is owed $10 million from the Falcons for this upcoming season.
