‘IMAGINE, TATLONG ARAW PA LANG PO [SIYANG SENATE PRESIDENT]’ Liderato umano ni Senate Pres. Alan Peter Cayetano ang dapat sisihin kasunod ng mga naging pangyayari sa Senado, ayon kay Akbayan Citizens' Action Party National President Rafaela David. Giit ni David, sa tatlong araw na pag-upo ni Cayetano bilang Senate President, hindi lamang naging “shootout” ang Senado kundi naging katatawanan pa ito nang magkaroon ng habulan sa pagitan nina Sen. Bato dela Rosa at National Bureau of Investigation (NBI). “Klaro po that the Senate leadership is a complicit sa obstruction of justice. At hindi lang po obstruction of justice, aiding and abetting na po ‘yan,” sabi ni David sa programang “Afternoon Delight” ng One News. “‘Yung kaguluhan sa Senate in the last three days, it’s all to protect this one man… Nakakapagtaka that the Senate turned into a shooting range at hideout ni accused mass murderer Sen. Bato dela Rosa,” aniya.

Let’s be factual. There IS a warrant of arrest for Bato de la Rosa. It’s from the International Criminal Court (ICC). There IS a domestic law (RA 9851) that allows local authorities to enforce the warrant and surrender Bato to the ICC. On top of that, the SC had ruled that even if the PH govt withdrew from the ICC in 2019, we remain obligated to cooperate on cases involving incidents prior to the withdrawal. The NBI and PNP had every right to arrest Bato and the Senate was wrong in coddling him and facilitating his escape. Ang may problema si Allan at Jonvic.
