@kuroimad @Wolfaroonii That's fair but that's not really what me nor OP was really talking about
English

@easel0307 @Wolfaroonii Yes but not alot of people have time to fully learn them. Some are just want to draw with their spare time they had. And I agree with you if they're going for professional artist route.
This is just my take..
English

Artists with Impostor syndrome, please hear this out.
By limiting any tools you can use to build off of due to your self-doubt or fear of tricking others, you're inadvertently sabotaging your growth as an artist.
YOU ARE NOT A FRAUD FOR USING/TRACING 3D MODELS AS REFERENCE!!!
Fuu 🩸✨ | Artist + VTuber@Fuululuu
.... huh??? Literal professional freelance and industry artists use 3D models.. are we so serious right now?? I'll never understand the animosity towards artists that use legitimate tools. This is not doing the work for you, you still need to have a basic understanding of perspective, how to draw hair, clothing, etc. It still takes the same amount of work but with visual assistance. Can we get with it, art community? Seriously, it's been decades.
English

@Wolfaroonii I just don't think it's right to say that people are sabotaging their growth because they choose to not use certain tools. It can make you so much stronger too
English

@Wolfaroonii I feel like your original tweet is way too certain. Im sure there are people who grow faster when tracing models, but Ive seen so many people become WORSE and the success rate isn't nearly as consistent as people who just practice figure drawing
English

@unmeinokaioshin @Wolfaroonii I didn't wanna mention this since it sounds very charged, but yeah, i have also seen peoples art stagnate because of tracing 3d models. HOWEVER this is probably because it's also done in the combination of trying to pump out art as fast as possible
English

@easel0307 @Wolfaroonii I know an artist, who resorted to tracing, and their art worsened since then... It's like they stopped figuring things on their own, relying on tracing. There is a huge difference between their own art and the traced pieces now.
English

@Wolfaroonii You learn much more from using a reference than you do from tracing. A lot of models are anatomically incorrect too
English

@Wolfaroonii I would NOT go as far as to say you are sabotaging yourself. If you learn how to draw bodies fast without models, it gets significantly faster than having to use them. And no, tracing doesn't necessarily help you learn. Not saying you can't use models, but I don't agree w this.
English

@jjellisart @AERTIME No but seriously. Being able to work anywhere i want and not needing to transit is significantly more worth it than being tied to some shitty workplace
English

@AERTIME Thanks dawg! It’s a 24/7 job but it feels closer to freedom than any job I’ve had before working underneath someone.

Im 34 and I followed my passion for art and I’ve got more job security than ever and my hedonic scribbles bought me a house with a huge home studio. How does that make you feel?

This brings me great joy. I hate art majors so much. They provide no value to society other than their self indulgent hedonic scribbles.

@FullSprintSpin @LyshaVGC Gallade has been the single most underrated Pokémon in this format for me. Literally one shots so many threats without even investing in attack so I've been using it as a trick room setter with wide guard...
English

@yo_its_operetta @pissedmythong The issue arrises when they stop having words for ANYthing. Can't even express themselves when its something positive. I've had friends like these and it's insufferable
English

@easel0307 @pissedmythong It’s called a reaction. Some situations you just can’t form the words.
