It’s official! Today has been declared Open Education day in the city of Edmonton! There are 400+ educators from 39 countries @ Open Education Global & we are pleased to be here representing ⁦@LakelandCollege⁩ Teaching and Learning. #oeglobal23

The final day of NFO had the participants presenting their first-day lesson plans! There will be some solid learning experiences for the students this coming year! Thanks to the participants for their hard work this week! #LCFaculty @LakelandCollege

On day 3 of NFO, the crew shared ideas on creating thinking spaces and assessments. There was a lunch tour of ETC! On day 4, there was a tour of the Energy Centre. Time was taken to work on lesson plans for the first day of class. #LCFaculty

Day 2 of Lakeland College NFO faculty worked with D2L, reviewing course outlines and beginning their plans for the semester. #LCFaculty

The First Day of the New Faculty Association week was filled with great conversations and sharing ideas. Afternoon panel discussion with experienced staff had great conversations! #LCFaculty

Alberta Education communicated with teachers and teacher leaders by email or postal mail over the summer to ensure that they were informed about the registry and how to apply for an exemption. 2/10

I have heard concerns from some current and former teachers related to the disclosure of their names and the status of their teaching certificate on Alberta’s new Teacher and Teacher Leader Registry. 1/10

@1CFLAtt @GoElks To begin with, the name change from Eskimo’s to Elks has nothing to do with a loss of fans Most people recognize that even if the name didn’t offend them, it offended others.

Man since #EElks became a franchise. It's just went DOWN HILL as a team, organization aaaaand fan base. I love Edmonton, I feel bad for that city. What a train wreck WTF did they do this once proud strong fan base and franchise, rich in winning & attendance? @GoElks
