I have to revise my opinion on drone launches from the territory of Kazakhstan. I don't think that they are occurring. If Ukrainian drones could be freely launched from sparsely populated, "empty" areas of Kazakhstan - as I suspected -, they would be hitting key military-industrial/economic targets: Tyumen, Omsk, Novosibirsk, Barnaul, Tomsk, Novokuznetsk, Chelyabinsk, Yekaterinburg (circled in blue). These cities are located quite close to the Kazakh border and would become immediate priority targets if Ukrainian agents could move through Kazakh territory and reliably launch drones (red dotted arrows). There have been repeated attempts at striking Chelyabinsk and Yekaterinburg, but so far unsuccessful, except for one case with the latter (blue dotted arrows). A Ukrainian drone recently crashed on Kazakh territory near Orsk (blue X). Earlier, Ukrainian drones crashed on what would be a reasonable drone approach towards Samara and Volgograd (also blue X). Ukrainian drones are clearly flying through Kazakhstan, but I don't believe they are launched from there anymore. Instead, and I have received some credible information on this matter, I believe many long-range Ukrainian drones are launched from civilian vessels converted into drone carriers off the Caspian Sea port of Baku, Azerbaijan. These drones then fly through the Caspian, maneuver through Kazakh territory for as long as possible, and enter Russian territory relatively close to their targets, flying through the steppe and other territories that are much less populated and much less defended (blue arrows). This makes much more sense from a technical, political and military perspective than assuming these drones are freely flying through thousands of kilometers of very dense air defence networks, including the line of contact. It would be quite wasteful to send every drone swarm through the the densest expected Russian defensive belts every time (orange arrows). Particularly Samara and Volgograd (1 and 4) have been hit repeatedly in the last months, with Kazan and Cheboksary (2 and 3) joining the "club" more recently. As for the (geo)political implications of this -- that's another question altogether...

🚨🇷🇺Russia Turns Siberia Into an AI Powerhouse While the US and Europe face high electricity prices that slow down AI growth, Russia is making a smart move: building huge data centers in cold Siberia and the Far East. These regions used to export just oil and gas — now they're starting to export AI computing power. 🔸 Russia has 194 commercial data centers. Moscow once had 85% of them, but Siberia and the Far East now hold over 15% — and that share is growing fast. 🔸 Siberia’s cold air cools servers for 8–9 months a year, making power efficiency excellent. Hot, humid China has much lower efficiency. 🔸 In Russian Far East special zones, electricity costs just $0.045–0.065 per kWh — 2 to 2.5 times cheaper than in eastern China. Running a 10 MW server farm costs about $475,000 a month in Russia, compared to over $1.1 million in Shanghai. 🔸 Russia freed up 1.5–2 GW of power by cracking down on illegal crypto mining, which was using 2.5–3 GW, mostly in Siberia. There’s also extra clean hydro power from large dams. 🔸 Big Chinese companies like Alibaba, Tencent, and carmakers Haval, Chery, and Geely are moving in. Chinese EV companies have raised spending on Russian cloud services 13 times. They get cheaper, greener power and must follow Russian data laws — all while staying very close to China for fast connections. Could Siberia’s cheap AI power leave the West behind in the neuro-age?

L’uovo no. I consigli erano sbagliati.

1900: The egg is described in nutrition texts as nature's most complete food. Doctors recommend it for invalids, infants, and the elderly. A growing child is given one or two a day. A working man eats four for breakfast. 1950: The egg is implicated in a hypothesis about cholesterol and heart disease. The hypothesis is unproven. The egg is told it must wait. 1968: The American Heart Association issues an official recommendation to limit egg consumption to three per week. The recommendation is based on a single observational study and the personal opinion of Ancel Keys. 1973: The first egg-substitute product is launched. It is composed of egg whites with added preservatives, gums, and synthetic colour. It is sold as the heart-healthy alternative to the egg, which has been on the human breakfast table for ten thousand years. 1980 to 2010: The British and American populations consume billions of fewer eggs per year than they did in 1950. Cardiovascular disease continues to rise. Obesity rises sharply. Type 2 diabetes triples. 2015: The United States Dietary Guidelines Advisory Committee, after reviewing the entirety of the available evidence, removes the recommendation to limit dietary cholesterol. The egg is, the committee states, no longer a nutrient of concern. 2025: The egg is back in fashion. The egg is on the breakfast menu of the trendy restaurant. The egg is in the protein-focused cookbook. The egg is in the influencer's morning routine. During the fifty-five years the egg was banned, the egg did not change. The egg has been the egg the entire time. The advice has changed. The egg has not. The advice was wrong. Nobody has apologised. The grandmothers who kept feeding their grandchildren eggs through the entire 1980s, against the explicit advice of every health authority in the Western world, were correct. The grandmothers should be on the committee.

🇺🇸/IRAN/🇷🇺🇨🇳US Claims it will Use "Dark Eagle" Hypersonic Missile on Iran ▪️The "Dark Eagle" hypersonic missile is launched from mobile ground launchers (pictured) and have a range of 2,700 km (some claims say 3,000+km) and is still in development; ▪️The missile is primarily being designed to bypass Chinese defenses (A2AD) INSIDE China amid a future US war of aggression against China; ▪️Deployment to Iran is a test - not a sustainable capability as the US only makes 1 missile per month and in the future only expects to make 2 per month at an estimated 41 million USD per missile and the fact it is still technically under development with only a handful of successful tests conducted; ▪️While there are only a handful of these missiles, if Iran has left itself vulnerable to their use it could cause serious damage to specific facilities - the story of hunting launchers with these missiles does not add up - there is most likely some other target they are seeking to use this against; ▪️The test - just like its use of LUCAS drones - is a two-way street. It gives the US insight into its own weapon capabilities, but also Iran and its Russian and Chinese allies; ▪️As myself and other analysts especially Mark Sleboda have warned about for years, while the US is moving slow, if given enough time and if the multipolar world doesn't organize quick enough, even the slow development of these systems will eventually produce results; ▪️This move adds more evidence to the notion the US is recklessly rushing forward with its plans to reassert global primacy at all costs - not "retreating" or "withdrawing" or "accommodating" or "adjusting" to reality in any shape, form, or way; Here is the official US Congress overview of the US Army "Dark Eagle" hypersonic missile system: congress.gov/crs-product/IF…

During yesterday's massive Ukrainian drone attack on Sevastopol, a Russian soldier stationed there asks how the "spirit of Anchorage" is doing and whether Valdai is safe. Everyone is tired of this kind of war. Russia will either be strong, or Russia will cease to exist. Putin said at a meeting with the military a couple of days ago: "We know how this will end." How? Tell us already. If we're talking about Russia's victory, then we want to know what a Russian victory means. If anyone in Russia continues to hope for an agreement with Ukraine and the West, if anyone hopes for everything to return to "the way it was," then it won't happen. And Russian capitalists, who even now quietly continue to trade with Russia's enemies, will die along with Russia. For five years now, everyone has been waiting for Russia to start fighting those who openly fight it. Even senior Russian officials are talking about this open war against Russia. However, Russia is taking no action, and as a result, it continues to suffer more and more blows. And how else could this end if not in a nuclear war?
