Cows scanned for a second time today, 55 selected to sell. Fair units if i do say so myself. Due April onwards for anyone interested. BVD clear and level 2 johnes.

Suckler calves all sold today cows in the shed till scanning on Monday then back out to to grass before on to kale for the winter..low input cows make a cost effective winter 🥬☘️

Yesterday was the hardest day of my life. To be putting your 25 year old cousin to rest is completely unbearable. I wanted to share this with people however, to show the strength of the farming community. My brother put this show on for Sam. He would’ve loved it

Video doesn’t do this wee lamb justice, a real tup maker. 46kg at 10 weeks, loin full of meat. Looking forward to seeing how he goes on through the summer.

It's not the start of lambing without a photo. Cracking set of lambs from my new @EasyRams Sufftex. Waiting for me in the field this morning... Only hiccup was the thieving ewe trying to get in on the action 🤦‍♂️

@Jessica_Tomley Key is to keep going with antibiotics even after day two when they’re running as if nothings wrong. They take a bit of catching though 🏃‍♂️

Anyone know the best cure or ease for lamb joint ill? Got few a few 2+ week old lambs suffering. Lesson learnt, nothing is better than iodine! #lambing21 #sheepadvice

@NickGreaves1 Yeah, scanned a couple of days ago. Texels did great 197%. Suffolk’s 180%. Sufftex 172%.

Ewes looking spot on this winter after taking the wool off them. Very healthy, loads more room. They will be turned out in March to lamb during April for 3 weeks.

@easyrambreeding Must be the ram breeder I buy off 😉 just silage. Bolused pre tup, will be bolused again near turn out. No buckets or rolls. Housed mid December, turnout all together if weather allows or on weekly raddle colour.

With most of the ewes safely tupped over the last fortnight, it’s almost time for the ewe lambs to be mated, here’s some of our EasyDam maternal lambs waiting for a one night stand.
