This show REALLY lost its juice like 😭🤣 S10 - S12 truly horrendous. I stopped watching after S10 & have seen bits of the latter two and it’s so bad. Apocalypse & 1984 are overrated, Cult is actually quite good so is Roanoke, Asylum is the best followed by Coven

@ebarty742 i’m hoping my other shows will be better but not looking hopeful, im glad there’s alot of us who feel this way bc i kept seeing people saying they had the best time

Ethel Cain Manchester Night 2. Y’all need to learn how to fucking conduct yourselves at a concert, was about 5 rows from the barrier, there were some awful fucking people around me with no idea about concert etiquette

@onanistdefender OMG it 100% is the same person. I get wanting to take videos thats fine but he was literally holding his phone as high as he possibly could leaning into the people on the barrier in front, he was so rude to everyone around him. All for grainy footage on an ancient phone 😭😂😭

@ebarty742 I wonder if this is the same guy that was in front of me the whole night filming every song on an iPhone 4 😭 why is your phone high in the air you are barrier brother! All I could see all night was his ww1 archival footage 🥲

@DISEASED0LL I also have tickets for another show, for her Birmingham show in June, and I’m lowkey contemplating selling it bc i can’t deal with another experience like that it just sucks

@DISEASED0LL Im sorry you have also had this experience, I hate to hear how we’ve all had a bad experience. When I left and started ranting to my boyfriend I was worried it was just me, so I am feeling validated, but its just shitty

@_unpunishable Oh for sure, I have known younger people to be very respectful at concerts before, and I hate to be generalising, but I feel like over the past 3/4 years I’m having this issue only at concerts with young people who aren’t actually that interested in being respectful

@ebarty742 I agree!! Personally I think there is definitely younger people (16-17) who definitely do have concert etiquette, but since the rise of TikTok it’s become a thing to make sure that u scream to lose ur voice and for attention or to even constantly check ur phone:(

@DISEASED0LL I literally spent over 6 hours on multiple coaches this morning to get to Manchester for this, just for (and not to sound too gatekeeper-y) fake fans to ruin the whole experience its ridiculous 😂😅

@ebarty742 and like if you are like that be in seats at least not on the front rows instead of actual diehard fans

@DISEASED0LL I felt the exact same thing. My boyfriend came with me and he isn’t as big into Ethel Cain as I am and came so I wasn’t on own, and even he thought this and that there were a lot of ‘pick me’ people

@_unpunishable I hate saying this aswell bc it makes me sounds like a boomer (even though I’m 24), but this has literally become such a problem post covid and its mostly younger people which I also hate to say, these people need to learn etiquette

@ebarty742 It’s so unfair to behave like that towards someone who you don’t even know. When buying a standing ticket I know full week someone is going to be taller infront of me and that’s just life?

@ebarty742 it was so off putting and the perverts and all the interludes/instrumentals were the parts i was super excited for. i just wish these people would go to a different concert if they can’t deal with “different” music

@goodgraces13 Exactly! I always think if it’s that much of an issue for you, then you should move. If I’m in front of you then it’s bc i was hear first, know what i mean

@ebarty742 i was there last night and tonight and around row 5 for tonight, im around 6’4 and i had 3 people complaining they couldn’t see past me but i couldn’t move if i wanted to and would be blocking someone else if i did like idk what you want me to do ????

@DISEASED0LL The EXACT same thing happened tonight, I was so excited for Radio Towers, I gave up videoing the instrumental songs in the end bc of people talking

@ebarty742 last night when she went into radio towers almost everyone was just talking loudly like it was some intermission it literally made my blood boil like where is the respect ?!

@_unpunishable Thank you. I try to be mindful and stuff but it’s just the thing that happens in standing. Why should i go to the back and you go in front when i was ahead in the queue. It’s an annoying situation but it’s just standing isn’t it. No need to be nasty. They were non stop

@DISEASED0LL I think this is what it comes down to, people treating concerts almost like a nightclub and it’s like. There is a performer on stage sharing their artistry, show some respect to them and to the people who want to enjoy it without dealing with your BS

@ebarty742 exactly how i felt, i had only been able to see her at festivals so was so excited to see her own headline tour only for it to be ruined by people who can’t respect her art or even just respect people around them who paid and came for the talent

@DISEASED0LL It’s such a shame bc i (alongside so many others) was so excited for tonight I’ve followed Ethel Cain since before preachers daughter, i tried to get tickets for the childish behaviour tour, and I’m just sat in my hotel room sad now 😭😂

@ebarty742 just read this entire thread, i went last night and it was the same… people on their phones and talking almost the whole time. it’s made me so disappointed and disgusted

So all in all, if you were doing any of the things in this post, then please reflect on your concert etiquette bc it is selfish and everyone around you hates you Also wear god damn deodorant is it that hard

-talking through songs and people on phones / scrolling on instagram during the perverts section. I know that the perverts section isn’t for everyone, but it is disrespectful to the performer. You wouldn’t do in at the cinema or theatre so don’t do it at a concert
