There have been reports and pictures of flooding along the Canadian River all the way back to Boys Ranch. This flood wave is moving down the Canadian River and is expected to reach gage site on U.S. 287 bridge this evening or overnight. #phwx#txwx
A guy showed unannounced up to swap out a booster pump on a sprinkler today. He shut the valve at the pivot with the all the wells running. Apparently this was the weakest link in the underground water line. 800 GPM will shoot pretty damn high out of a small hole
For those guys up North who always wanna compare rainfall…come check out what real evaporation looks like down here. It be the last time you run comparisons…
@laneallenw We're down to 200 gpm on an 8 tower system. Looking at going to the Komet Twisters on 10' spacing for the first 3-4 towers and regular LDNs on 5' on the outside 4 spans. Half the drops inside more pressure? idk? Still like the LDNs on the outside so we can widebubble.
Ultra low GPM irrigation question- what regulators should I get? Have a 7 tower w/ 40’ overhang, 150gpm. 7.5’ spacing first two towers, 5’ after that. Very level ground, good ground. Want the most even watering possible, currently fresh renozzle w/o regulators. Give me some tips
@laneallenw "You don't know what you don't know." Best way is to pull N samples during the growing season and apply as needed with the spoon feed method!
#Agtwitter, I’m curious and want to learn more. Share your NUE and your fertility program for corn - what’re you doing that someone else isn’t, and how is it rewarding your yields? I’m tired of “1# N/Bu” mentality- tell me I’m right or wrong from your point of view.
