Typical clinic day now includes a 2-year-old who only has 5 words, an 8-year-old with new-onset obesity, and a preschool-age child with no social skills from being home bound. A disastrous avalanche of child health probs of our own making—not “from the pandemic.” @AmerAcadPeds

Well well well, look who has woken up from his winter nap and is taking a leisurely stroll on my driveway after decimating my bird feeders, sigh 🙄

@BrentAWilliams2 Follow the 💸💰🤑 allocated exclusively for Long Covid research. The grift invites BS, terrible studies—like this one!

@WallStreetApes We recently tried to make haystacks: those wonderful chow mein noodle cookies that are essentially melted butterscotch and peanut butter chips, and melted marshmallows. Every single one of those ingredients is flawed now. They don't melt correctly, and taste terrible.

American shows that Hersheys Chocolate Bars have changed textures “Guys, I don't think chocolate's supposed to look like this. Why is it so like elasticy? — It's like slime — this is fake” Hersheys has made major changes to their formula, including changing replacing cocoa butter with cheaper vegetable oils like palm oil, shea oil and sunflower oil

@ebennett74 I’ve been considering getting a cleaner once a month. I think it’s money well spent.

My cleaning lady just comes once a month to do a deep clean. I have had her since my pregnancy went south and I ended up in the hospital. My kids are 20 now! Used to need her every 2 weeks, but now once a month is perfect. Money well-spent, haven’t needed a therapist since college.

All of the money you are spending on your one hour therapy sessions should be reallocated to hiring cleaning staff to clean your home. It will help your mental health more than a bad quality reaffirmer ever will

@ebennett74 My adult son temporarily living with us cooks once a week and I can't even express what it does for my mood that particular day.

It’s funny how you see beauty in the world as you move through life. There is a couple we know in their 50s who have always been understated and un-glamorous, but unwavering in their dedication to each other and their generosity to others. I still appreciate a pretty handbag, but I’m getting better at seeing where true beauty lies.

@audrawrongspeak That’s great that she loves her crib! I am a huge fan of “own crib, own room” where possible—everyone sleeps better that way.

Best tips on maximizing sleep with a newborn? I’m thinking of getting a mattress pad and just laying in her room since she loves her crib. That way I have a shorter distance to respond. Anyone have anything else that might help?

My advice on the newborn phase is just take it day by day. Don’t think about “How are we going to handle this in the future?” Because the issue won’t be there anymore. My newborn just did her first four hour stretch last night. She’ll be two weeks tomorrow.

@wakeupnj Yes because there are too many doctors so there’s no demand. So the working conditions are not good because too many doctors want to work in this area.

I would like hear what he said before and after this quote. I looked into past statements he’s made about antibiotics, and this quote seems inconsistent with those, so it may be taken out of context. He's certainly been talking about overuse for years, but not to this extreme. An overly generous interpretation is he used the word “suffering” in the broadest sense possible... even a tiny amount of suffering would qualify... though the fact that word came after the phrase "on his deathbed" suggests otherwise - lol... so if he holds this view, then I guess we can agree to disagree
