@DagsBasketball Always told kids go where you are going to play on game day. It’s so much more fun to be a dude than a practice guy.

WHAT DOES ‘HE’S A DIVISION 1 PLAYER’ MEAN? The landscape of college basketball is different today than it has ever been. One of the good things within all the chaos of college basketball is that a lot of the schools will be going to 15 Scholarships. Which means practice players will most likely be getting scholarships. This is a great avenue for players that are solid, that want to D1 experience and are hoping to leverage it for academics and in to their chosen career. I do believe though that players that are capable of playing at a lower D1 level, D2 or D3 are going to get yelled in to taking one of these last scholarships and end up wasting away years of playing ability bc they place such a heavy emphasis on D1. Again, no right or wrong, just a thought.

Successful high school athletics change a community. Go to a state tournament and watch the community close down their town to come support. It’s more than just the student-athletes too. The band, cheerleaders, alum, parents, grandparents are all greatly impacted. It is SPECIAL!

@CoachAnja2023 College coaches, often; 4.) The student should have a list of 5-10 colleges that they believe they fit socially/academically; 5.) In sum: it’s too competitive to think you’ll be noticed with a serious amount of networking, regardless of numerous All-State accolades.

College coaches….correct me if I’m wrong here but if a player is good…y’all will find them, right?! No matter if they’re on a circuit or not?
