🇭🇷🇪🇺🇹🇷 | Croacia ha irrumpido en la final de Eurovisión con una canción interpretada en su idioma materno que rescata un episodio histórico marcado por la ocupación otomana de los Balcanes. El tema alude a la antigua tradición croata de tatuar símbolos cristianos en las niñas católicas como forma de protección frente a secuestros, conversiones forzadas al islam y situaciones de esclavitud durante siglos de dominio turco en la región.
La propuesta incluye versos como «por eso muchos eligieron la tumba, nuestras madres no parieron esclavos» y ha generado una intensa reacción internacional. Mientras algunos sectores la presentan como una reivindicación de la memoria histórica y la identidad cultural, Turquía ya ha trasladado protestas oficiales.
