Why does Google think it's OK to harass everyone with a pop-up "log into Google" dialog that covers 25% of the content on like every single page load on the Web? I kinda hate browsing the Web these days and 25% of it is due to Google popups.

@ecbos_ hi, Is it possible to update the css specification so that `:host{&[m] {}}` is parsed into `:host([m]) {}`? I have two real use cases:

@kotsoft Yeah, mostly due to API flaws... Ideally we wouldn't need to parse CSS colors every time you set fillStyle. We cache them but still... :')

@ecbos_ and if using the canvas, I should have batched fills and lines with each other instead of alternating in the loop. i imagine maybe setting the fillStyle per blob is also bad

I'm working on a new webtoy! In the meantime looks like I have my own ball bouncing benchmark. Firefox's Canvas2D/WebAssembly performance is less than 50% of Chrome and Edge.

@kotsoft I think some of it at least should be getting optimized away, but... In any case, a maybe easier approach for your purpose would be to use OffscreenCanvas? That'd unblock the main thread completely (ideally, at least)

@kotsoft Is the source of this somewhere? Btw, poking a bit in the debugger, you're setting HTMLCanvasElement.width/height every frame even if the window hasn't resized, which seems unfortunate, since it forces a context update even if the size doesn't change per spec.

They are mocking the world. They put annihilation on pause for a quick WHO mission, then they bombarded the hospital (including the neonatal unit) two seconds after the end of the mission.
Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus@DrTedros

Shortly after the @WHO-led mission to Kamal Adwan Hospital yesterday, the facility's third floor was reportedly hit again, injuring six children who are patients there. One child sustained a critical injury. Water tanks were damaged. Heavy bombardment persisted very close to the hospital, including when WHO was delivering aid. It is appalling that hospitals in #Gaza continue to be attacked, patients continue to be harmed, and health workers and humanitarians continue to work under life-threatening conditions.

@KvnDy Can you ask in #bmo:mozilla.org in matrix to recover your 2fa and file any regressions you've noticed? On PTO right now, but should be trivial to bisect and pinpoint with a test-case...

Problems with both the CSS Transitions and CSS Animations implementations. It’s so tedious to have to repeatedly update the old stuff. A rug pull prevents me from finishing. Their code keeps changing. I wish this were standardized

Finished operating with my colleagues on a 4 year old with a fractured thigh bone and multiple severed tendons in the hand. Maybe the German Foreign Minister can explain to him why it is necessary for him to go through life with these injuries and a dead mother and 2 siblings.

Israel is proceeding with their speed run of their genocide - they know they need to eliminate as many Palestinian as they can before the US election (which might or might not slow their extermination plans):
Drop Site@DropSiteNews

⚠️ Northern Gaza: Internet and Telecommunication Networks Down, Hospitals ‘Drowning in Blood’ Reports indicate that internet and telecommunication networks are completely down in Beit Hanoun and Beit Lahia, with residents in Jabalia also facing communication difficulties. Israel appears to be plunging northern Gaza into a complete blackout while blocking humanitarian aid and enforcing collective starvation for nearly 400,000 Palestinians in the north as part of its brutal new offensive launched this month. The Director of Nursing at Kamal Adwan Hospital tells Drop Site that the “cutting off of telecommunications and internet services, along with the prevention of food and medicine and the intense random shelling across all areas of the Jabalia refugee camp, is signaling a major catastrophe.” This situation is “indicative of the ongoing ethnic cleansing, extermination, collective starvation, and forced displacement.” 📃Drop Site also received the following video message from a nurse at Kamal Adwan Hospital: 👇 “Peace be upon you. An urgent appeal from Kamal Adwan Hospital in northern Gaza. We're calling out to the world, to all people of conscience, to the WHO, UN, and Security Council. To everyone with a shred of humanity: North Gaza is under attack. Dozens are dying, hundreds injured. Our hospital is overwhelmed, drowning in blood. The operating room is full. We're critically short-staffed. We lack resources and fuel. The situation is dire. Injuries flood the streets of Jabalia, Shujaiya, and Fallujah. Hundreds need help. Medical teams can't reach victims in the streets. The occupation forces are committing atrocities. Injuries arrive by ambulance, motorcycle, even carried by hand. People come in wounded. The hospital's situation is critical. We urgently appeal to all compassionate souls, to every free person: Save North Gaza! It's facing genocide. The bloodshed won't stop. Save North Gaza, please! Peace, mercy, and blessings of God be upon you.”
