@SpaceBasedFox The original miniature has no obvious laser cannons, so there's some discussion as to where they're "supposed" to be. I chose to interpret an existing detail on the miniature as laser cannons, even though that was probably not the intended location.

This is my own digital model of the TIE Bomber. I imagined this project as though I was creating a "hero miniature" for closeups. So my version has much more detail than the actual miniature, but hopefully retains the same spirit. I sell this model here: artstn.co/m/nDL0w

My take on the AT-PT. I'm imagining this as a "mk2" Imperial version, instead of the more familiar design which can conceivably date to the Clone Wars. Modeling by me, with AT-ST elements from Robert Rose. Renders by Angelos Karderinis.

Was poking around the archive and discovered something I never realized before. The original, pre-2004 DVD Emperor from #TheEmpireStrikesBack, played by Marjorie Eaton and voiced by Clive Revill, has a blue cloak. It’s not just blue because of the hologram effect. #StarWars

@pabl0hidalgo @TheRealIanCoe Wait, if that is the model from the first shot of the movie, it can't be that "weird" model from Return of the Jedi. The model from Return of the Jedi has these angles that are inaccurate, while this one has the right angles.

@mel_miniatures @pabl0hidalgo @TheRealIanCoe Yeah, they’re definitely completely different miniatures. I pursued this line of research when I reconstructed the RotJ model, and quickly concluded that they’re different in almost every way.

@TheRealIanCoe @mel_miniatures @pabl0hidalgo It’s a different miniature in that shot, but the proportions are fairly accurate, so it’s very hard to notice. It’s not the same miniature as the RotJ version, though.

@mel_miniatures @pabl0hidalgo I went and looked at the shot and I found it hard to see any difference. Could the engines have been altered at some point after the first film?

@pabl0hidalgo @TheRealIanCoe It’s not the same miniature. The materials, proportions, and detailing between the two are all completely different. I think they’re fairly different in size as well. It’s possible that the RotJ model dates to the production of ANH, but it’s definitely a unique miniature.
