Rivers Politics: Immediately after the Bola Tinubu meeting with APC governors at Presidential Villa, which favors Governor Sim Fubara. Nyesom Wike, in his frustration, has begun another LGA-to-LGA tour campaign, instructing his men in Abuja to fall back. Nyesom Wike is very restless and will remain restless; he always wants to prove a point as though he's on the ground. Let's not be deceived; Rivers people have rejected Nyesom Wike.

@iOccupyNigeria I now see the clear reason why he visited Benin republic and has been traveling recklessly. Benin republic suddenly became his priority. He will then use peller on TVC as a way to destract us. Yet Nigerians are just carried away with anything that's bigger than foolishness

Please hear me out. I have a proposition for Ndi Igbo, something bold, cultural, and unifying. What if the South East, alongside Igbo-speaking communities across Nigeria, formed a coalition to host an annual Igbo Masquerade Festival, a grand, rotating celebration of our heritage, held every Christmas season? Imagine a full weekend experience where masquerades from different states and communities come together in one place, not just to perform, but to tell their stories. Because while masquerade is a shared part of our culture, many are deeply unique, some known only within a single town or state. This festival would create a rare opportunity for cultural exchange: Someone from Enugu or Ebonyi could experience the power of the Ikoro masquerade. Someone from Anambra could discover traditions from Anioma or even Igbo-speaking communities in Delta, Rivers, or Benue. We wouldn’t just preserve culture, we would experience it across borders within our own people. To make it even more impactful, the hosting state would rotate each year, Anambra this Christmas, Enugu next, then Imo, Ebonyi, Abia, Anioma, and beyond. This ensures shared ownership, equal visibility, and continuous excitement. But this wouldn’t just be about masquerades. It would be a full cultural festival: Traditional food exhibitions, imagine tasting abacha in one stall, then discovering a completely new dish from another Igbo community. Music, dance, storytelling, and fashion that reflect the diversity within Igbo identity. Spaces for children and young people to learn, connect, and feel proud of their roots. Because if we’re honest, many of our children are growing up disconnected. This gives them something real, exciting, and rooted to look forward to every year. To add energy and anticipation, there could be a friendly competition: The most outstanding masquerade performance wins a major prize. Awards for storytelling, costume design, cultural authenticity, and crowd engagement. And beyond celebration, there’s impact: Revenue generated can be reinvested into tourism development in the host state. Funds can support cultural preservation projects. Scholarships can be awarded to outstanding Igbo students. Over time, this could grow into something massive, drawing visitors not just from across Nigeria, but from the diaspora and beyond. A festival that becomes a global symbol of Igbo identity. At its core, this is about unity. Because when we understand each other’s traditions, we connect more deeply. When we celebrate together, we strengthen the bond that already exists. This isn’t just an event idea, it’s a movement waiting to happen. Retweet so it gets to the right audience.

The South African laws are literally super racist, plain and simple. It’s not complicated: imagine if the law was called “White Empowerment”, instead of “Black Empowerment”! People would have a seizure 😂 South Africa now has more anti-White laws than Apartheid had anti-Black laws. Think about that for a second … The current South African government has objectively implemented Apartheid 2.0. Shame on them.

Unpopular opinion: I don’t think anyone is touching @BiodunStephenO when it comes to YouTube storytelling right now. Her style is just different. It’s not the usual love-driven plots everybody keeps recycling… there’s always depth, something to reflect on, something to learn. No disrespect to other producers at all, because the work they’re putting in is serious. But personally, I find myself actually looking forward to whatever she drops next. Maybe I’m biased… but her storytelling just hits different.

@Allison_Nuel Why do all the works all alone. You should delegate some to others for the sake of sanity. Else you will be doing yourself great harm. People only watch the final results but don't know the difficulty entails in the production process of a film. Keep up bro.

“My film is coming to cinemas” sounds pretty on the outside. But not everyone will understand how difficult it is to be the Writer, Production Designer, Director, Producer and Lead Actor on a single project, at the same time! Midway into production, I became terribly sick but still came on set everyday and acted strong so that no one will know I wasn’t feeling strong. We wrapped shoot and I made sure I sat with the post-production team through everything. All cuts, sound design & music, color grading, etc. I didn’t have a life until The Boy Who Gave was completed. Let’s not even talk about how uneasy it is to land distribution as a Gen-Z filmmaker. (Cont’d)
