2 week post launch update 👀 $821 MRR (crazy btw) but i also want to share costs because i wish more people talked about this part $222 in LLM cost (likely going to be ending the month at around $450 in LLM cost at this rate) tbh margin is much better than i thought it would be will be working on a few improvements on my end to try to get the cost further down (without compromising on quality) interesting

@raroque 1. I get the feeling this is more a developer mind that is surprised its code works 🤣 2. Valid, I don’t like customers work like this but I agree it add validation.

haha nah very valid 2 big benefits (or my hypothesis of the big benefits): 1. It increases trust in the resulting data When I used the initial version of this product, the scan happened in like 10 seconds and I immediately went "did it really catch everything? no way" If a user can see their data flying by and all of the work that's going into the processing, they might have a bit more trust in the end result. "oh ya that was really thorough" 2. Increases value (or perception of value) If i charge someone $25 to run the scan, they will probably think im crazy and that they can do it themselves So being able to let the app "show its work" And what's going on behind the scenes might get them to see that value a bit more "thank god i dont have to go through each of these 3000 transactions myself"

animations are going to be *critical* for SubscriptionMonster i can't prove it, but i believe if a user sees a really nice animation of their data processing (vs just a loading spinner) they will trust the resulting data even more some animation experiments 👇

@raroque If you choose RN let me know if it’s easy and how similar it actually is to NextJS for example. I did hear though that RN is a hell for native app features like notifications and such, but never used it so 🤷‍♂️

Ok so AI is getting so good at coding that maybe I could try to actually build an Android app 🤔 maybe ill speed code porting Ellie iOS to Android and see how fast I can do it with Claude Code Just need to choose whether to do RN or Flutter

@raroque Weirdly enough the first one feels better now 😅

@raroque In my opinion it goes a bit too fast. Also maybe if possible a very slight slowdown near the end will work. So not a linear movement but more like a sine I think can just give it a bit better “feel”
