That’s definitely not true. If that were true I wouldn’t be risking my job on X speaking out to people on these exact issues, local and global. Cops become cops because they want to help people. Every cop I know and have worked with are patriots, they honor their oath, they believe in the Constitution, and they believe in protecting people from evil. As I do. I don’t see every non-cop as a threat either. I swore an oath to uphold and defend The Constitution and The People of the United States. I love helping people. That’s why I became a cop, and it’s why most become cops. I risk life and death for the purpose of defending my country and maintaining lawful order and Justice. I’d lay down my life for an innocent if necessary to secure their safety. Yes, many cops lose sight of their main purpose which is to protect The People. I have not. To say that I’m not a real person when I’ve talked people out of suicide, responded to active shooters, saved lives, risked my life on dozens of occasions, and do it without thanks or needed attention, is simply a mischaracterization. You should rethink your words. I would risk my life for your own, and protect you and your family if you were in danger in my same jurisdiction, regardless of what you think of cops.
