@DaedalusFields 49 is a good season of survivor. I think it would’ve gone down a lot more interesting without spoilers.

@SurvivorSFT JT needing immunity in those last three rounds reveals a serious flaw in his strategic game. (2/2).

@eclecticstan It really doesn't. It means he won when he needed to, which is an essential trait for most winners. That's why people like Cirie lose over and over.

@SurvivorSFT Winning immunity has nothing to do with the social-strategy game that all the best winners master to the point where they don’t depend on it. What if the final 5, 4 or 3 challenge of Tocantins was a word game? JT loses to Stephen and gets voted out. (1/2)

@SurvivorSFT It’s more so that his “perfect ally” was plotting against JT from the final 5 onward. If the final 3 challenges have a different outcome, JT is in real danger. It’s a credit to him as a Survivor player that he’s able to comp out, but needing to undermines the quality of his win.

@eclecticstan Y’all find a way to make objective positives into negatives “Yeah if only you didn’t have a perfect ally and amazing challenge ability, then maybe you’d be as good as this lesser winner”

@aoiii617 There were 4 applicants on Tocantins and about 8-10 applicants on SJDS. Once again, you are wrong.

@aoiii617 Also, that same alliance that you claim Jeremy assembled for Natalie blindsided them both when Jeremy was booted. Natalie works to gain their trust through individual plays like instructing Jon to play his idol, which pays off when she later uses their trust in HER against them.

@eclecticstan JT only has to win immunity because he’s not in the backseat. Natalie was always playing second fiddle to Jeremy. He built the entire puzzle and all she had to do was put the last couple pieces in place.

@aoiii617 JT has to win immunity because he let Stephen cut his secondary allies, some that admitted on camera that they were willing to take JT to the end and lose. Him having to win immunity is a direct consequence of taking a backseat to Stephen.

@aoiii617 Also bringing up the strength of SJDS’s cast when Tocantins does NOT offer a favorable comparison is kind of goofy.

@eclecticstan Her alliance was built by Jeremy. Missy’s loyalty came through him. Most of the rest of the players remaining after they got Jeremy out were clueless Amazing Rave recruits. And Natalie would have gone to the end with him and lost, which is a huge mark against her.

@aoiii617 I said “need.” Natalie didn’t need Jeremy to carve her path to the end, evidenced by her complete domination of the game after his boot.

@eclecticstan Jeremy was the superior strategic partner, which is why he got targeted first.

@potatog1raffe The issue is that Stephen wasn’t blindly loyal to JT, actually the opposite. JT allows Stephen to cut players who were literally willing to throw the game to him (like Brendan) early on, positioning JT where he needed to win the final 3 immunities or else he’s in serious danger.

@eclecticstan Isn't having a loyal ally a pro? Especially when he outplayed Stephen in ftc miraculously?

@PhonyReality All new era survivor winners play the same game. Play very safe, conservative, under the radar games where they aren’t the big threat of the season That’s the problem with the new era
