The Igbos call me Dibia, Hausas call me Likita and the Yorubas call me Dokita...

@Rx_Kashim I am sure you don't know that pathology alone is more than half of PharmD's entire course units. Pathology alone is more than the course units of an average 4 year degree. Pathology has Morbid Anatomy, Haematology, Immunology, Chemical Pathology and Microbiology.

@Rx_Kashim @erickson_egbon @hy_wemmy @PoojaMedia @Great01946235 Scrotal elephantiasis from lymphatic filariasis, a parasitic worm infection spread exclusively by infected mosquitoes (like Culex or Anopheles species). The worms block lymph vessels, causing the severe swelling seen here. Prevention is key via mosquito nets and repellents.

Let me school you briefly: “Doctor” is an academic title, not a profession. It comes from the Latin word docere, meaning “to teach,” and historically refers to anyone who has reached the highest level of training in their field. Medical doctors are not the only ones entitled to the title. A Doctor of Pharmacy, just like a Doctor of Dental Surgery, Doctor of Physiotherapy, or Doctor of Philosophy, even in PHD holds a recognized doctoral degree. The professions are different, but the academic qualification is equally valid. So a pharmacist is a pharmacist by profession and a doctor by degree, just as a physician is both a medical professional and a doctor by qualification. You are welcome🫵🏾

@_Migs02 After all the insults, you go sha dispense the medication. Yours is to document and move on.

@_Migs02 Your denial won't change it's existence

"Doctor" has always been associated with Medical Doctors from time immemorial. Others copied it from them. To them it's not an academic title it's a professional one. PhD is an academic title. PharmD doesn't have the academic rigour needed for a Doctoral degree by any standard.

@AmorimUnited Pained about what exactly? A pharmacist at best is an advisor to me when it comes to drugs. I am at full liberty to accept or reject it. The final decision rests on me. PharmD/BPharm anyone, you can't override my clinical plans, so why should I be pained? 😃
