Prove it "more than entire half of pharmD's entire course units" At the end of the day, it is not your long stay/duration in pathology that will determine how better you are in it, but how well you built yourself and how to apply it. Long duration is not really the point. We may not go deeper according to our curriculum. But building yourself is what matters. Self learning and asking question can develop your knowledge further.
Emmanuel Mbah@ecmbah

@Rx_Kashim I am sure you don't know that pathology alone is more than half of PharmD's entire course units. Pathology alone is more than the course units of an average 4 year degree. Pathology has Morbid Anatomy, Haematology, Immunology, Chemical Pathology and Microbiology.

@Rx_Kashim Anyone who survives 400L and passes once is very very solid. The rigour and the high standards builds you naturally. You're combining clinical postings with a demanding Path/Pharm, you survive am, you're solid. Very solid.

@Rx_Kashim 400L is the most challenging class in med school because you're studying people's four years/five years degree courses in less than 18 months. The average day is 7-8pm daily, when you add study time you de reach 10pm. It's a crazy class o.

Later now, they will be saying pharmacists have lesser knowledge in pathology. Are you kidding me ?

@Rx_Kashim @erickson_egbon @hy_wemmy @PoojaMedia @Great01946235 Scrotal elephantiasis from lymphatic filariasis, a parasitic worm infection spread exclusively by infected mosquitoes (like Culex or Anopheles species). The worms block lymph vessels, causing the severe swelling seen here. Prevention is key via mosquito nets and repellents.

@ajide_akor88153 MBBS has the highest course load in any university. If other doctoral degrees including PhD don't measure with MBBS workload, what do you think MBBS is? A basic bachelor's degree? 😃

That's where you are wrong. We won't dispense a prescription that has a drug therapy problem. 😂

@ajide_akor88153 MBBS is not a regular Bachelors. It's a full doctorate. MBBS=MD. Nigerian PharmD doesn't meet the criteria of a doctorate by even course units. MBBS is 460+, PharmD is 50% of the coursework. That's a staggering difference.

@ajide_akor88153 MBBS is a Doctoral degree that's why MBBS holders are addressed as Drs. MBBS is a misnomer because it's not a regular Bachelors.

@ajide_akor88153 MBBS is a doctoral degree. It's equivalent with the US MD. If you convert MBBS to academic sessions that's more than 10 academic sessions. 400L medicine is more than 4 academic sessions worth of work. The course units are above what a typical BSC to PhD is in Nigeria

@ecmbah Do you know that originally those people being addressed as doctors are PhD and MD,not MBBS. That is because they are both Doctorate degrees. M They started calling MBBS graduate doctors years after, because MBBS and MD graduates are both physicians.

@Zanna_Daniel @UNIkechukwu I am not ignorant of medical history. The word "doctor" have always been synonymous with physicians long before before PhD was a thing. MBBS is not a regular Bachelors. The coursework for MBBS is higher than BSC to PhD.

@UNIkechukwu @ecmbah Exactly! “Doctor” itself was originally a title for scholars. I don’t know about systems around the world, but I have a French friend (Dr) who told me that they do PhD level research as part of their medical training which is what eventually qualifies them for that title.

Lmao, these are the kind of Doctors that prescribe nonsense in my posting site. Why intervention book no go full? 😭
Emmanuel Mbah@ecmbah

@AmorimUnited Pained about what exactly? A pharmacist at best is an advisor to me when it comes to drugs. I am at full liberty to accept or reject it. The final decision rests on me. PharmD/BPharm anyone, you can't override my clinical plans, so why should I be pained? 😃
