like. he was loved enough that we see it now in how he was buried. and i do think part of that fight for his reburial was just about respect. but i also think part of it was like. an inheritance of care. and its that part that keeps making me like cry about him lol

something about the kennewick man is just really. moving to me right now. he’d been buried with care by his community, and that care, when noticed, mattered to enough people that they fought for him to be reburied. despite the answers his bones could provide.
