My memecoin bags and some lessons:
Current moonbags (locked profits and riding a bag):
$gif
$keycat
$honk
$kitty
$wife
$brett
$wifout
$warcat
Moonbags approx. current total: $1.4K
Airdrops:
$gecko (not added to it yet, may do)
Total airdrop: $1.2K
Live plays (still holding initial stake):
$derpcat (down bad)
$boner (down bad)
$dhonky (dev apparently rugged after I bought the mega dip, aped red candles with no research, bad move)
Total if I cash out right now: $2.4K
Riding them all for now. Send it🚀
Some lessons learnt:
1. If I think I'm late to the party, guess what? I am. bought a few coins with this feeling and all of them I essentially bought the top. Lesson is to not ape for the sake of the ape. Leave it and focus attention on other opportunities which haven't peaked yet.
2. Don't chase 'losses'. A few times I've been down bad on a coin (live play) and tried to quickly get it back with another, bigger, trade. This does not go well very often, if at all. I knew this but had to burn my hand on the stove, twice, to learn it.
3. You don't need to ape every coin. Obvious perhaps but when you're in the zone, researching coins, chatting to degens, looking at green candles, you can start throwing money at coin after coin and before you know it you've aped a significant amount. These small 'throw aways' can add up quickly. Wealth preservation is wealth creation.
4. Bail on trades. If a trade isn't looking so hot, or gut feeling said bail, then bail. Take a small loss and move on and don't look back. There's nothing worse than losing money on a coin you 'knew' you should have gotten out of.
5. Have a rough strategy. For me, I want to get into a coin 2-4X, pull initial, some profit on top, then ride a moonbag. Then I take that profit and invest it elsewhere, be that my bigger memecoin bets, sol, btc, NFTs, even the stock market. I know, ew.
6. How big should the moonbag be? At the beginning I was leaving moonbags that were frankly way too big. Now I've shaved it down to an amount that's more reasonable. The reason for this is that if you have 20 moonbags on the go for example and let's say they're all $2K, well that's $40K that could have just been locked in and invested elsewhere. Yes you may miss out on the moonshot but $40K is tangible and frankly, I'd rather take that. Find what size makes sense for you.
Think that about wraps it up for now.
We go again tomorrow.
Be safe Degens❤️
Nb: This is not financial advice. This is simply me sharing my experience for entertainment purposes only. Be smart as memecoin 'investing' is simply gambling. Straight up.
