Happy Christmas to me where my entire family is on some sort of weight medication and barely eating and I am a recovering/ed anorexic.

I'm always so surprised at the lack of interest in eating disorders—as a psychiatric subspecialty—in the UK. It is so often undersubscribed.

I must confess, I am slightly disappointed that Serena Williams (who I think is a truly inspirational human being and of whom I am a lifelong fan) is being considered the "face of GLP-1". The push to normalise weight loss drugs is well and truly underway!

A cycle breaker is someone who grew up without an example of the life they wanted or needed, and fought like hell to build that life later.

Never underestimate a cycle breaker. Not only did they face years of generational trauma, but they stood in the face of that trauma and said “This ends with me.” This is brave. This is powerful. This comes at a significant cost. Never underestimate a cycle breaker.
