We introduced another band of mangroves to the site, leveraging the microclimate effect created by the mature four-year-old saplings. We developed this approach, known as the "Mangrove Caregiver strategy", by observing patterns of natural regeneration in healthy forests. 🌳

2024 brought an extensive summer in Honduras, leading to vegetation drying out and increasing the amount of combustible material due to the intense heat. Now, months after the summer has ended, our restoration efforts are showing resilience. #Restoration
