idk if those people are purposely obtuse or what. Here's the idea: you join a social hobby mainly to enjoy yourself, along the way someone will come along and find your presence enjoyable

i'm an asocial freak, and i've made (in-person!) friends through dating apps, twitter, discord, hardcore shows, orgs, sports, etc.
to be honest i dont think there's a good or bad place to meet people, i'm more concerned with vetting folks over time vs having a "perfect setting"

@RealPostFolder People misunderstand the hobby thing. You're not supposed to go to some dancing class or knitting just because there's women there. You're supposed to go to a hobby you actually enjoy. Even if there's not enough women there, your social circle will generally widen due to friends.
